The Sounds Of Nature - Mayan Forests: Soundscapes From Guatemala - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This CD presents a musical, almost emotional approach to bird song. It was not meant as a sound guide, rather it's a celebration of the very finest bird songs that have been heard and recorded. 74 minutes to convince the listener of the extraordinary creativity of these bird musicians in their rhythms, melodies and timbres.

Five landscapes, five different biotopes, each one with it's specific species, and also it's own acoustics, over a wide range or narrow, in open space or enclosed. All mainly recorded during May, at dawn, at that special moment of first light, before the sun rises.

Fernando Ortega is something of a rare animal in the genre of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).InchThe Breaking Of The DawnInch can easily be seen as a philosophical descendant of Psalm 95 or the music of Martin Luther. It's primary aim is not to explore human experience, or to entertain or instruct, but to extol, glorify, and exalt. The fundamental emotion it expresses is that of spiritual gratitude. This is praise music that feels uncommonly honest and unaffected.
