About this product
After two decades, The Steel Wheels mark their 20th anniversary with a self-titled album that captures the band at a new creative peak. Since their start, the group-Trent Wagler (vocals, banjo, guitar), Eric Brubaker (fiddle), Jay Lapp (mandolin, guitar), Kevin Garcia (drums, percussion), and Jeremy Darrow (bass)-has grown from a harmony-driven acoustic act into a dynamic folk rock band with a loyal following and a reputation for powerful live shows. The Steel Wheels was recorded in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley with producer D. James Goodwin (Goose, Bonny Light Horseman, I'm With Her) at his studio, The Isokon. Tracking live in one room brought immediacy and intimacy to the sessions, resulting in an album that feels urgent and alive. Songs like InchEasy,Inch InchGo Back,Inch and InchKeep On DancingInch highlight the band's range, combining anthemic energy with moments of tender restraint. This record is both a celebration of 20 years and a bold step forward, showcasing a band still pushing boundaries while staying true to it's roots.

Digitally remastered by Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering Studios). 20-plus years after SATISFACTION The Rolling Stones were still at it, pumping out gritty rock and roll and playing to huge, adoring crowds. Later records sound fuller, the production a bit cleaner, but the Stones still sound like the Stones. STEEL WHEELS, released in 1989, was the first studio album by the band since 1986's DIRTY WORK. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards had put out solo records in 1987 and 1988 respectively, and the reformed band got back into the studio for a record they would launch a massive world tour to support. It was the last studio effort upon which original bassist Bill Wyman would play.

Vinyl LP pressing. In an era when the city kvetches that there are no good NYC bands, when half of the music scene has split for sunny California, The Mystery Lights are an anomaly. Not only did these bold young men reverse the direction - optimistically migrating east against the tide from the west coast, but they also landed in the wormy apple to immerse themselves in the action and diversity of New York City. Hot on the heels of the InchToo Many GirlsInch/InchToo Tough To BearInch single, Wick Records (Daptone's new rock subsidiary) officially rolls out The Mystery Lights' debut LP, recorded at Daptone Records' House of Soul studio, in June 2016.

Based in Houston, The Moving Sidewalks were a psychedelic garage quartet that existed during the second half of the 1960s. The group famously featured singer-guitarist Billy Gibbons and drummer Dan Mitchell prior to their forming ZZ Top. Inspired both musically and conceptually by Roky Erickson and the 13th Floor Elevators, The Moving Sidewalks' sole full-length album Flash was released in 1969 by Tantara Records. Other members who appeared on the album were bassist Don Summers, keyboardist Tom Moore, and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Costa. In 2013, Gibbons announced the reformation of the original lineup of the band, and they performed headlining shows in Austin, Houston, and New York City. Liberation Hall's reissue includes the non-LP bonus single Inch99th Floor.Inch
