GENESIS / The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is a double album and a concept work following Rael, a rebellious youth in New York City, as he journeys through a surreal, subterranean world that serves as a psychological allegory of self-discovery and spiritual awakening. The album is notable for it's experimental instrumentation, contemporary American imagery, and shorter song structures, marking a departure from Genesis' earlier pastoral and British-centric themes.
The classic album returns as a 1LP on Electric Orange colour vinyl with the original 1973 David Bowie mix of the album. A forerunner of Punk Rock, described by Consequence Of Sound as 'by far the most important punk record ever' influencing the S*x Pistols, The Smiths and Sonic Youth among many, many more, it includes 'Gimme Danger' and 'Search and Destroy'.
