About this product

One of the flagship acts of the 1950s folk boom, the Tarriers were a breeding ground for future stars in assorted fields of entertainment. At various times the group's membership included Academy Award-winning actor Alan Arkin, Erik Darling who went on to co-found the Rooftop Singers of 'Walk Right In' fame, virtuoso musician Eric 'Duelling Banjos' Weissberg and Marshall Brickman, co-author of the scripts for many of Woody Allen's finest films - to name just a few graduates from their musical academy! The Tarriers were active from 1957 to 1964, during which time they continually challenged the Kingston Trio as America's most loved folk favourites. This Jasmine collection features two albums from two different line ups of the group - one studio, and one live - drawn from their middle, and many would say peak, years. It contains a strong mix of traditional folk and bluegrass favourites, many of which will be familiar to all lovers of those genres. Remastered - as always - from the finest available sources, InchTell The World About UsInch captures the sound of an American folk music institution at the peak of it's powers. We are sure that lovers of the genre will not tarry in making it a priority purchase! Album Tracks 1. You Can Tell the World 2. Bald Headed Woman 3. Red Apple Juice 4. Seven Daffodils 5. Take This Hammer 6. Bile Them Cabbage Down 7. This Train 8. Lonesome Traveller 9. All the Good Times 10. Little Maggie 11. Angels Watching Over Me 12. John Hardy Was a Desperate Little Man 13. Dark As a Dungeon 14. Jordan's River 15. Swing Down Chariot 16. Mary Ann 17. Cape Cod Boys 18. Little Liza 19. Pastures of Plenty 20. Ride Up 21. Skillet 22. The Water Is Wide 23. Eric's Banjo 24. Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream 25. Children Go Where I Send Thee
