TWANG / JEWELLERY QUARTER 24K In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the 'Jewellery Quarter' - The Twang - will be releasing a very special edition of the album this December, re-recorded and remastered, and on vinyl for the first time ever. - A firm fan favourite from the Midlands indie massive, the album originally debuted at number 20 in the UK charts upon it's in 2009, with hit singles such as InchBarney RubbleInch and InchEncouraging SignInch, alongside live staples such as InchTook The FunInch and InchBack Where We StartedInch, all cementing it's celebrated status. Named after the area the band have been based since 2008, 'Jewellery Quarter' has many other Birmingham reference points - most notably the cover art which was hand sprayed by local graffiti artist Temper and uses the unmistakable Baskerville typeface which was designed in Birmingham in 1757. With a timeless indie sound and a distinctive pre B-Town bounce, the album was mixed by Neil Claxton (of Mint Royale) and stands out as one of the definitive indie records of it's era. - - Comprising of vocalist Phil Etheridge, bassist Jon Watkin, guitarist Stu Hartland, and drummer Ash Sheehan, The Twang are up there with the greatest indie bands that the UK has ever produced. Formed 2004 in Birmingham, the band released their first single InchWide AwakeInch in March 2007 followed by InchEither WayInch reaching number eight a few weeks later. Industry wide critical acclaim followed when the band were awarded the NME's Philip Hall Radar award. Debut album 'Love It When I Feel Like This' was released on the 4th of June 2007 with the album reaching Number 3 in the UK charts and has gone on to reach platinum certification by the Official UK Charts. To date, the band have released a total of 5 studio albums alongside a greatest hits and B-sides compilation - spawning fan favourite singles such as InchBarney Rubb

Originally released in 2012, Light Up Gold is being made available via Rough Trade Records on November 28, 2025.Light Up Gold - Parquet Courts first proper LP - is a dynamic and diverse foray into the back alleys of the American DIY underground. Bright guitars swirl serpentine over looping, groovy post-punk bass lines and drums that border on robotic precision. While the initial rawness of the band's early output remains, the songwriting has gracefully evolved. Primary wordsmiths A. Savage and Austin Brown combine for a dynamic lyrical experience, one part an erudite overflow of ideas, the other an exercise in laid-back observation. Lyrically dense, the poetry is in how it flows along with the melody, often times as locked-in as the rhythm section.InchThis record is for the over-socialized victims of the 1990's 'you can be anything you want', Nickelodeon-induced lethargy that ran away from home not out of any wide-eyed big city daydream, but just out of a subconscious return to America's scandalous origin, Inch writes Savage in the album's scratched-out liner notes.
