About this product
Velvets is an endless summer night dipped in a bucket of rock, blues, schlager and funk with a cool breeze coming at you from the south. All set in a timeless space, where the past, present and future are fused into one. The songs will take you on a journey of love and longing, speeding on the highway and taking off to a place beyond the stars. Velvets was born in January 2021, when the duo Sami and Sakke were desperately in need of creating new music. With too much time on their hands after finishing the second Rokets album, the Finnish band where the two first met each other as members. The first idea for Velvets was to write love songs and stick to them, kicking things off by listening to a lot of Moon Martin. The duo has previously toured Finland and the Baltic countries extensively with Rokets since August 2017, well known in Finland for their sweaty, energetic live shows. The band opened for Kaleidobolt in Helsinki for their album party of their latest album InchBitterInch and were the closing act of the first day of the Finnish festival Kill Sörnäinen in Helsinki. With two EP's titled InchRoketsInch and InchSpeed & SoundInch and the debut album InchFast TimesInch, released on digital and vinyl in 2020/2021 under the belt the duo decided that it was time for a project of their own - Velvets. The band sounds like a session where Moon Martin, Hurriganes, ZZ Top, Thin Lizzy, and The Allman Brothers started experimenting on a new kind of sound that brought all the pieces together from the different styles of the sweet, sweet music we call rock n roll. This is not your average rough and tough, rowdy and raunchy boy band, with the testosterone levels going through the roof. This is Velvets; beautiful, meaningful songs with melodies born of warm memories and moments we've shared with someone we hold dear.

Double vinyl LP pressing housed in gatefold jacket. 2024 . Everything I Thought It Was is the highly anticipated album from multi-talented entertainer, recording artist, record producer, songwriter and actor Justin Timberlake. This is Justin's sixth studio album, and includes the first single InchSelfish,Inch a pop infused offering driven by it's infectious melodies and features the star's iconic soulful vocals.
Uzeda - a national treasure of Italy's underground rock scene, and one of the longest-running punk bands on the planet - returns with their first new album in 13 years. The album's title, Quocumque jeceris stabit comes from the famous inspiration phrase that loosely translates in English to InchWherever you throw it, it will standInch - a testament to the resilience and adaptability of Uzeda. Like a buoy in turbulent waters, virtually everything around the band and it's members has changed significantly since their last album, Stella, was released in 2006 on their previous longtime tag, Touch and Go Records. Recorded, as always, by longtime friend and collaborator, Steve Albini, Quocumque jeceris stabit sees Uzeda picking up where they left off, albeit with the sands and scars of time cutting new creative paths within the reputable map through which Uzeda have traveled for the past four decades. Vocalist Giovanna Cacciola's fragile, dynamic rasp still cuts through the jagged guitar of husband and fellow Bellini member, Agostino Tilotta, while the rhythm section of bassist Raffaele Gulisano and drummer Davide Oliveri provide the sturdy foundation on which all Uzeda songs are built. But there's something noticeably different now, a kind of melodic tension that was always hinted at but perhaps never fully displayed until now. It is a sound and a feel that Uzeda was made for, and one that unquestionably defines them.
