Beyond homesickness for Australia, eightyish '80s celeb Paul Hogan (playing a fictionalized version of himself) was pretty much used to quiet retirement in L.A. However, between his angry granddaughter's insistence he accept the knighthood he declined, and pushy producers trying to land his participation in a InchCrocodile DundeeInch reboot, the quiet's about to end. Self-referential farce co-stars John Cleese, Chevy Chase, Olivia Newton-John, Reginald VelJohnson, Wayne Knight. 88 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Dealing with mounting hearing loss after an accident in the field, Boston PD detective Frank Shaw (Joel Kinnaman) was feeling life and career unravel... and partner Doug Slater (Mark Strong) asked him to be a go-between while taking the testimony of deaf homicide witness Ava (Sandra Mae Frank). He couldn't suspect that he'd be helping her run from a squad of professionals out to silence her. Distinctive thriller co-stars Mekhi Pfifer, Michael Eklund, Jonathan Koensgen. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
