The seminal 1966 classic as a limited edition 60th anniversary set of six 7Inch singles Released in1966 as Over, Under, Sideways, Down in the U.S., and The Yardbirdsin the UK (and widely known as Roger The Engineer ever since) Over, Under, Sideways, Down was The Yardbirds'only studio album of entirely original material. Recorded in London at a moment when British R&B bands were pushing toward psychedelia, it captured the band in transition from their blues-club roots to a new, experimental sound driven byJeff Beck's groundbreaking guitar work. Songs like Over Under Sideways Down and The Nazz Are Blue mixed blues energy with distortion, Eastern scales, and unusual time signatures, defining the sound that would later feed into both hard rock and psychedelia.
