About this product
The Yawpers are the sheep in wolf's clothing. Through their first three albums, the group divined a signature style-what Pitchfork described as Inchan expansive vision of rock 'n' roll, one that cherrypicks from various folk traditions punk, rockabilly, blues, whatever they might have on hand or find in the trash.Inch The sound is a front-heavy, groovy, fire & brimstone punk-blues overlying a dynamic and metaphysical roots rock. On their fourth album Human Question, the Denver trio zooms out to a more vast and accessible stylistic and spiritual universe. The 38-minute thrill ride generates growth and cathartic self-reflection for audience and performer alike. If there was justice in this world, the Yawpers would be the savior that rock and roll didn't know it was waiting for.

American Man from Denver's The Yawpers taps into the disparate, murky pools of the American musical lexicon; dark country to kinetic punk, acid blues to flared jeans boogie, low-brow backdrops pitted against high-minded literary references. It's an edgy, engrossing trip. InchPopulist lyrical themes of golden era folk-Americana are contrasted beautifully against the majestic rhythms of heavy metal and punk.Inch - NO DEPRESSION

2016 , the third album from the New York band. Human Performance establishes Parquet Courts as simply one of the best rock bands active in the world right now, no qualifiers needed. Not Inchin Brooklyn,Inch not Inchsomething-something millennial,Inch not Inchart-rock thisInch or Inchslacker indie thatInch - but a brilliant, accomplished rock band that have established themselves as deserving a role in the historical legacy of the genre alongside the likes of The Velvet Underground, REM, Sonic Youth, and Pavement. This album - their masterpiece - brings together the tunefulness, wit, and guitar wizardry that earned them a crush of critical praise and excitable fans right out of the gate, with a deeply human sense of drive, of yearning, and of wisdom earned. At times nearly overwhelming in it's emotional density, at others astonishing with sheer sonic deftness, Human Performance is a rare achievement breathtaking and brilliant.
