Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing. What if you could be a fly on the wall at Thelonious Monk's final recording sessions as leader? You can. Offering tremendous late-period performances, The London Collection Vol. 1 is nothing but Monk, improvisational, unhinged, and unrestrained. Alternating between established originals and familiar classics, the pianist weaves magic spells on the 88s, savoring pauses between notes, the decay of chords, and a fluid style that feels more welcome than some of his angular playing. Originally released by the UK tag Black Lion, an imprint that specialized in resurrecting rare gems from US Jazz and Blues Legends, The London Collection Vol. 1 marks what are indisputably Monk's final significant contributions and a can't-miss opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to get closer to the man and his music. Orchestrated by ORG Music, this historical reissue is afforded the ultimate in audiophile production standards, resulting in sonics and presentation befitting the museum-like worth of this record's existence.

The third and final installment of Thelonious Monk's London Collection, his last recording session as a band leader, finally gets it's time to shine on vinyl. The recording features the legendary pianist/composer on six solo performances as well as five numbers with bassist Al McKibbon and drummer Art Blakey. It was remastered from original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180gram audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany.

2010 from Screaming Females guitarist Marissa Paternoster and her low-profile solo project Noun. On Holy Hell, Marissa dedicates less time to shrieking and soloing, and more to intricate studio work and lower-key instrumentation. Holy Hell, the first official Noun , incorporates keys, organs, and toned-down guitars and drums. The result is clearly different than Screaming Females it's mellower, more melodic, and whereas the Screaming Females' songwriting process is a three-way discussion, Marissa writes all of the songs for Noun.
