I have Thinkware FA200 2 channel dash cameras on my 2016 Nissan Rogue & 2017 Ford Escape Titanium. Unfortunetly, a lot of newer vehicles have 12v outlets with constant power. Its a better choice to have the dash camera hardwired to the fusebox. Professional installation is reccomended. Hardwiring also allows parking mode, but I have it disabled, as I only want the camera to record when the engine is on. Another benefit is the same hardwire cable can be used when upgrading to another Thinkware camera.

This worked great on our Q800 Pro installation. Had no problems with it. Wires are decent quality, though I am not a fan of the barrel style fuse holders as they add bulk to the harness. Regardless, I was able to fairly easily route the harness from the rear view mirror of our 2015 BMW X5 to the necessary fuses to tap. Simple product that does its job. Better if you can get it on sale like we did.

The installation was easy even with very generalized instructions. The instructions don’t say where to attach each wire. At first I didn’t see any labeling on the red and yellow wires, but on the fuse holder for the red wire it says constant 12v. So I attached the red wire to a constant power source and the yellow to an ignition on power source. The park mode on the dash cam wouldn’t work with this hook up. Then I reinspected my wiring and saw a small black band on the red and yellow wires with a microscopic font saying the red was for ignition and the yellow for constant power. After switching the wires, the dash cam worked perfectly
Seemless integration into the vehicles electrical system with this hardwiring kit.

The thinkware cable does what it’s supposed to and that’s to hide the wiring and hardwire power so you don’t have to plug it into a socket. This is also required for parking mode to work as the cable has a constant, switched and ground connection. The wire is plenty long enough. I am a professional 12v electronics installer and have installed many of these cables. The wiring is plenty long enough and the constant and switched are both fused at the end of the cable. Not much else to say about this product.

The cable is long enough to wire from my fuse box to the camera on my 4 runner. The cable is proprietary and interestingly it helps the camera to detect the key positions, and change the modes.

This hardwire kit is a necessity to allow your Dashcam to record while the vehicle is parked. Installation is very easy if you are mechanically inclined and the wires are clearly labeled. The instructions are included and support is available online. After it is installed, the wire is definitely long enough to reach common areas where the Dashcam is mounted.

Works as described and was a quicker install than I thought it would be. Honestly had it not been for my own negligence of not having a tester for my fuses it would have been even faster. You will need this for the camera to go into 'Parking Mode' where it detects passer-bys and hits to the car while parked.

Easy connection for Thinkware products. Wires are decent length @ 10'. Love the feature that the camera has, so if your battery gets below a certain voltage, the camera shuts off. All wires decently labelled so your not guessing what wire goes wear.

If you hate cables running up your dash and in you line of view like me you must have this with your install. If you are not mechanically inclined I would not recommend you doing this on your own because you have to tap in to fuses on your vehicle and test for power. Also you need to know what type of fuses your car uses and purchase two add a fuse taps because they do not come with it. I will also supply the link to the Thinkware YouTube how-to install video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4CkStK45io

I'd recommend this if you're short on cigarette lighter ports, or simply don't want the wire to power the unit to be showing. Install was essentially as easy as connecting the positive (red), accessory (yellow) and ground (black) to the same wires your stereo uses. The install guide recommends hooking up these wires to fuses in the fuse box, but I don't ever see that as being super straightforward, or easy. So I opted for the aforementioned method. I have the wire routed up the A pillar alongside the window, and up above the headliner in my Ford Probe. Very happy with the finished result.

Camera itself is hard to set up. Possibly returning this because of that reason

Very simple to install. Works extremely well with my H50. Allows camera to operate and monitor while parked. Protects battery from draining while in use.

So I have a 2019 Mini Cooper. Bestbuy’s car repair shop thought I needed this kit, but I didn’t. I’m keeping it because my sister has an older car and I know she’ll need it when she purchases her dash cam. Anyhow, they were AMAZING. I love my front and rear view cam (by Thinkware) installation. The recordings that’s sent to my phone. The video is so clear! If I ever need anything install, I will definitely head to Best Buy.

Hard wiring to your car is much cleaner and if you are using the 750 or 770, it's well worth it. The use of parking mode is a great feature.
