Introducing Thinkware’s X1000 front and rear dash cam – own the night with industry-leading front & rear 2K QHD cameras. We’ve set a new bar in the dash cam industry by pairing Sony’s IMX335 5.14MP STARVIS image sensor with an all-new proprietary lens design to produce a remarkable image quality no matter the time of the day. Coupled with super night vision 3.0 technology, energy saving 2.0 in parking surveillance mode allows the X1000 to remain on the lookout for parking mishaps or hit-and-runs for up to 576 hours* even in dimly lit conditions such as dark parking lots. The bar has been set – now it’s your turn to own the night.

A: Energy Saving 2.0 technology minimizes power to non-essential components during parking mode, allowing the camera to stay on for up to 576 hours.
Q: What is the field of view for this dash cam?
A: The Thinkware X1000 dash cam boasts a 156-degree field of view for both front and rear cameras.
Q: Does the dash cam come with a screen for viewing footage?
A: Yes, the X1000 has a built-in 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen for settings adjustments and footage review.
Q: What is the recording resolution of the Thinkware X1000?

Q: Does this dash cam offer any parking mode features?
A: Yes, the X1000 dash cam offers both parking surveillance mode and time lapse parking mode.
Q: Do I need to buy $54 installation kit if installing myself?
A: The Echomaster installation kit allows you to connect the camera to your OBD2 port for power instead of cutting into wiring to find power, and also allows the camera to switch between park and drive modes, all without having to modify your existing wiring. It plugs into your existing OBD2 port, and also provides another port so you can use vehicle diagnostics without unplugging the camera. You can install the camera without the kit, but you'll have to connect camera power directly to the fuse box, or cut into wiring, in order to power the camera. This kit is designed for a non- electric vehicle, so it may or may not work with an electric or hybrid vehicle. In my case, it did work on my 2018 Ford Fusion hybrid, but generally if you have an electric vehicle your results may vary with this kit.
A: Hello there, The X1000 is a universal dashcam, therefore it will fir into your 2021 Porsche Macan with no issue. This is an error on Best Buys end in regard to vehicle compatibility. We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused!
A: Hello Kirk! Yes! The X1000 does have a built-in Super Capacitor which allows the dashcam to save accident footage if the power cuts out!
