Overall good bang for your buck. The x800 is a good no frills dash cam. Plug it in and it works. You have to play around with the settings to match your needs so you don’t inadvertently drain your battery (if you hard wire it or use the OBD II connection). I have played around with the parking mode settings and sensitivity settings to find what worked best. If you want, you can also just plug it into the car outlet and use only while driving. Image quality of playback is excellent. You will want to buy your own SD memory card. The driver assistance is nice especially the warning for traffic and speeding cameras. The only thing that people will find a hassle is the need to take out the SD card and plug it into your computer to view and save files. Yeah you can view your files on the lcd but it’s not convenient when everything is connected to wires. For some this could be a deal breaker.

Pros: - Good quality for both day and night time - Has a touch screen and is pretty responsive - Has options for parking, continuous recording etc. Each file is a 60 second segment and clips can be archived for later viewing Cons: - Major downside is that it doesn't have a mobile app. To view any footage, you have to take out the microSD card and insert it in to a computer to download the needed files, and then reinsert it back in to the dash cam to resume recording. With most models offering a mobile app which can be connected to your phone via wifi or bluetooth, it's pretty absurd for a dash cam this price to be missing that feature. If you need to view the video on the spot, you can playback the files using the cam's screen on the back but I doubt that the tiny screen will be able to provide much details. Would have been nice to be able to link up the cam to the phone and view the recordings there. If you don't care about the mobile app, it's a decent dash cam that will serve your daily needs. Both front and rear views are clear and provide wide angle recording.

This is a great dash cam easy to install. 1. it is time consuming to get a copy of the recorded videos. You have to get the memory card and load it into your laptop so that you can view and send them out. 2. This uses an adhesive for mounting in the windshield. It is very hard to get it off. I had to return this and get the THINKWARE - F200 PRO. This one has wifi and an app where you can view, download and sent the recorded videos.
