This is a very good wheel but it has some quirks that keep it from being excellent. The power circuit over USB is polarized so if the wall plug is inserted one way, the wheel will not respond. If you turn it around it works fine. And this is on the Xbox NOT the wheel power supply. The desk clamp feet do slip a little even when very tight. I think larger feet would give more grip. It's working fine at Level 100+ on Forza 5 but I am starting to hear squeaking noises. I hope it's just fine. Feel is excellent and force feedback is nice. Although sometimes it drops out or gets very weak after extended play. Unplug and replug usb tends to fix it.

This is my 5th wheel I have purchase for gaming and I have to say is is my favorite. The construction is great and with all the addons available this wheel can keep evolving with my gaming needs. My last wheel was a Logitech G25 which is also a great wheel, but this thrustmaster had a better road feel and force feedback.

Works very well, the force feed back is great, much better than g27 my old well, the pedals is not so bad like looks like, works good, but worse than the g27. And I don't Kwon why doesn't have head set plug In.

Would have given 5 stars, except for the stock rim, which is cheap plastic. I upgraded to the Challenge GTE wheel rim and it provides a much more solid feel. My previous wheel for FM4 was a Fanatec GT2, which I was quite satisfied with. However, this wheel IMO is as good or better than my GT2.

This Tx wheel has really strong force feedback and drives perfectly. You can feel what the car is doing on track. Works great with Forza 5. Everything on the wheel works perfectly and I like the ecosystem that allows you to change the wheel to the Formula 1 style wheel. The pedals don't have much weight to them so you'll have to build or buy a setup, or secure them or they'll slide under your feet. Once I solved that problem I like the pedals. Easy for lightly braking and modulating throttle. I recommend this wheel to anyone who wants to take a racing game to the next level. Hope it's compatible with Project Cars.

Very challenging to use this wheel it vibrates to the point of not having control at normal settings. Had to make it less sensitive to enjoy racing. Only gave it 4 stars because it has a short cable from the racing wheel to Xbox input so you can only play sitting maybe six feet in front of the TV and the cable is hard wired to the wheel base so you can't replace it.

I recently purchased this product from BestBuy and am extremely happy with it. It works and looks great!!! The feedback and vibration is amazing and its really quiet. TNX brushless motors. The steering wheel is comfortable and solid. If i have to name one thing that i would like to change is the pedals. they are a little too small but thats a personal preference. I am waiting on the 3 pedal set and manual gearshift to come out soon. I have already purchased the GT and F1 wheel add on for it and they are truly awesome !!!! Thrust Masters did an amazing job with this release. Its better than the tr 500 !!! I can't wait for more games to come out on the xbox one c'mone Microsoft !!!

This is a great wheel. Updating the firmware was a little time consuming. Mostly in downloading and setting up the software. Will be easy after the first time. Wheel has great feedback using it with Forza. Very strong motors. I had to turn them down to 50%. The wheel is precise and has a good feel. Leaps and bounds better than the Xbox wheel on the 360. My only complaint is the pedals. They are pretty cheap compared to the wheel. They work, and are precise also, but they feel cheap. The brake spring is way too soft. I think an upgrade to the 3 pedal set will solve that problem. They could have made the stock ones better with a few small changes. All in all I would recommend the wheel, and the pedals only drag it down a bit. Just plan on a pedal purchase if you are serious. Mounting it to a cockpit was easy with the threaded inserts in the bottom of the wheel and pedals.

I read many reviews from many sites. There's a good number of broken wheels out there. I got mine from bestbuy.com on 3-19 Updating the firmware: From most of the reviews people had problems updating the firmware. Mine came with version 42. I followed the instruction from the Thrustmaster website to the letter, and updated to version 45. I'm not sure if this matters, but I'm hoping version 45 solved most of the problems out there. You need a PC to do this. There doesn't seem to be a setup utility for the MAC Setting up: I spoiled myself with a Playseat Challenge gaming chair. Paired with this wheel it feels like you're sitting in a car. This is a great setup for Forza 5. The clamp that locks the wheel down sucks. I went to the hardware store to pick up 2 metric M6 12mm bolts, and just mounted it to the seat. This is a fun setup, but it's expensive. In the Forza settings I turned the vibration to 75%, and the force feedback to 50%. The defaults seemed a little rough. I can't turn the game off now. I hated playing with the gamepad I though about replacing the wheel it came with. But that would mean another $150 at least. The Engine Start button is actually a d-pad. The rest of the button layout is familiar, like the Xbox gamepad. I think I'll give it a chance. I might upgrade later to the 3 pedal set, and the THR8 shifter. But again, it's dumping more and more money into this racing chair. And I'm already at the point that it costs more than the Xbox one. Once this is setup and working, it's an enjoyable wheel. The only reason I can't recommend this is it's overpriced. Especially if you want to upgrade it. Unfortunately I don't see many affordable wheel options for the Xbox One anytime soon.

I bought this wheel on January 17, 2014 to be used with Forza 5. After the firmware update it died within 10 minutes of use with Forza 5. Before I updated the wheel it was working fine with no problems but after the update it went dead and had a terrible smell coming from the wheel. I was never able to get the wheel to turn after that. So I had to return it back, Best Buy was excellent on the return and refunded my money back. Really wished the wheel worked cause it did have a great feel. Thrustmaster needs to put a new firmware update cause that's what did me in. Hope this helps for anybody who wants to buy this wheel.

So far it's working great force feed back is so awesome and can't wait for the stick shift add on to come out. Only complaints are the pedals don't stay put very well in my setup and the actual material is plasticky and not like a real car

Holy cow, what a piece of garbage. I hooked it up to my pc, updated the firmware and gave it a shot. It lasted about 10 seconds and died. Now I get no lights, no nothing - and my whole house smells like a tire fire. I'm returning it today for a refund. I'm not going to bother exchange it, because I don't trust a new one to last very long AND Best Buy does not offer a protection plan for this item (big surprise).

I've now had to return two wheels because they both died within 24 hours of setting them up. Great performance, but there seems to be a lack of quality in the guts of the hardware.

I bought the wheel and after 3 hours of use in iRacing and 20 minutes of assetto corsa the wheel started smoking and my computer stopped recognizing the wheel. While it lasted the wheel was much better than my previous G27 although the stock TX pedals are horrible
