With the 4 x 4" Black Satin 1/2 Density, Diffusion Filter from Tiffen, you can achieve a unique balance of optical resolution reduction and subtle granular contrast. This filter is specifically designed to disperse light in a dampened manner, creating a distinct halation effect that differs from the smoother, whiter regular Satin filters. The optical resolution reduction feature of this filter escalates with each density, offering a fine-tuned effect that remains unnoticeable in the final image when your aperture is stopped down. This ensures your images maintain their natural look, without the appearance of being overly filtered or excessively diffused. The halation element of this Black Satin filter is more subdued compared to the velvety shroud found in regular Satin filters. Regardless, both elements remain a light constant in either filter, ensuring they never overpower the image or oversaturate the optical diffusion effect. This filter delivers a matte, smooth finish to your images, adding a delicate glow to highlights with minimal appearance. It carries a grade of 1/2, but is also available in grades of 1/8, 1/4, 2, 3, and 4. With each grade increase, the filter's effect becomes approximately twice as strong, allowing for greater control and flexibility in your photography. Incorporate the 4 x 4" Black Satin 1/2 Density, Diffusion Filter into your photography toolkit to enhance your images with a subtle, refined diffusion effect.

A top-tier addition to the Soft/FX series, the 4x5.65" Soft/FX 1/8 Filter is meticulously engineered with a unique pattern of miniature lenslets. These lenslets are specifically designed to subtly blur fine image elements, such as wrinkles and skin blemishes, while preserving the sharpness of larger details like the eyes in your photography. This advanced filter technology ensures that your portraits maintain their natural beauty, without compromising on detail. The 4x5.65" Soft/FX 1/8 Filter offers varying densities to cater to your specific needs. On the other hand, the higher densities work harder to minimize facial imperfections, providing a more pleasing and professional portrait.Ideal for both amateur and professional photographers, the 4x5.65" Soft/FX 1/8 Filter is a versatile tool that enhances your photography by delivering a perfect balance between softness and sharpness.
