Tiger - JNPS10U 5.5CUP Rice Cooker - Stainless Steel

After twenty-one years, our white-and-pink floral design Tiger 5.5 cup rice cooker finally kicked the bucket! We were not too crazy about the floral design, so we were very pleased to find the same cooker with a stainless steel exterior right here at Best Buy Online for under $100 (with a promotional code) and free shipping! We received the cooker via UPS in just five days, and it cooks excellent fluffy rice...even better than our previous Tiger cooker! We love the easy one-touch operation and the "keep warm" feature, which is good for two meals. All of the parts are very easy to clean, and the cooker looks great with the rest of our stainless steel kitchen! One of the common complaints of this cooker is that the latch breaks after only a few months of usage, so my advice to those who buy this cooker is to depress the button while closing the lid to avoid latch breakage. Another complaint I have read about this cooker is that rice water comes out of the steam vents, but that is common with this cooker and even my previous one. Just wipe the residue away with a damp cloth or towel after cooking, and everything will be fine. Although this cooker is expensive, it cooks excellent rice and will probably last twenty years or more, if you take good care of it.
