10 Stars First off, I haven’t played TCs games since ps2s splinter cell, I love military games but couldn’t find an interest, I saw this and was interested, AND NOW I DONT REGRET PICKING IG UP, the VAST majority of accessories, the open world and not to mention the sarcasm lol, the jungle camo, what not to like about this game, I love this game

I really liked this game. Despite slightly mixed reviews, this game is a lot of fun. It's an open-world squad-based game in which you explore a beautifully-rendered Bolivian landscape and attempt to take down a large, entrenched drug cartel piece by piece. The gameplay style is somewhat similar to The Division, but this is a much larger play area. There is a ton to do (side missions, collectibles, etc.), the story isn't bad, and the mechanics of how multiplayer vs. single player works is very well done: you can jump into and out of co-op games at will, and your own game's progress continues throughout. The AI isn't too bad, there are lots of weapons & attachments to play with, and the story missions & locales are varied enough to keep it interesting. I would definitely recommend giving this game a shot.

I would have rated this game a 5 as I love cooperative games, but since it has single player and a few bugs, I had to give it a 4 to be fair. This game is set in the country of Bolivia in 2019. It's an open world, 4 player drop-in drop-out, third person shooter. It has the type of guns and characters that most Ghost Recon games provide, but set in a Far Cry-esque open world. From the beginning of the game, you can complete any mission using any method that you feel like. Whether you want to go guns blazing, or wait for nightfall and go in stealth. The bugs I've noticed were just cars spinning in the air and once I was trying to snipe a radio tower, my screen kept changing between looking at the radio tower and looking at the sky, it's hard to describe. The only issue with single player is that your AI squad sometimes can't handle the sync shots you give them, and it occasionally gets boring playing alone. In all, I would highly recommend this game.

The game features a very large map to explore with lots of objectives and side missions to complete. Graphics are superb with lots of attention to detail and the sound is equally great. Controls are smooth but do require a little practice for handling vehicles since each one has their own characteristics. This is an open-world game but certain missions need to be completed first before moving on much like the Far Cry series. The game can be played in any style you choose but stealth tactics work best when initially taking on the enemy to reduce their numbers and so that no calls for help can be sent out. Patience and observation are your best friends! I have only played the game in single player mode and the teammate's AI is reasonably good on their own but they work best when you give them commands. A great addition to the Ghost Recon series!

Huge open world; beautiful Bolivian landscape; great graphics and not so bad storyline; spoiled by stupid AI. Its fun for a while till the tasks becomes repetitive. Lots of bugs and glitches in game; not showstoppers, but irritation. The AI soldiers are stupid; except for the sync shot. Its fun and great game to while away time. Not bad, not great either. Would recommend just for the graphics and huge open world and the dizzying variety of weapons.

I love the open world game play and the story. Lots of weapons and pretty good character creation. I would like to see more details in the characters but not bad.

The Division even the upcoming second The Division (should be modeled after this game) by NOT being online required in a open world setting. I mention this in a Wildlands review because Ubisoft doesn't do that bad a job with Tom Clancy games, it is just when online required is involved. Now to the Wildlands review: First thing I’ll say about the actual gameplay, is that I love it. I’ve always liked third person games, but tend to prefer first person aiming. Third person is great for running around, and being able to see where you are in relation to obstacles and hazards. It can be difficult sometimes to determine this in first person games. First person aiming is better because it’s more like lining up a real sight picture, right down the sights. Wildlands does exactly this. I really would’ve preferred to have the ability to jump, rather than climb only, but once you get used to that limitation, it’s not as noticeable. I found driving vehicles to be very fun, and each different vehicle feels, different. Different acceleration, different speeds, different handling… different. Driving also changes if you’ve got a blown tire, or two, or three, or four. With updates, the helicopters have become fun to fly now too. The original set up was odd and quirky to figure out. The updated handling is exactly what I’ve come to expect from years of playing games with helicopters in them. Much more intuitive and manageable. And once you figure out how to avoid the SAM sites, it’s no problem. Mostly. You WILL get shot down from time to time. Motorcycles are great fun, but be aware that if you are going full speed and hit something, you will get thrown off the bike and you will die. While the vehicles overall feel very real, you can drive a car off of a hundred foot cliff and land with no damage to yourself, and very little to the car. A minor gripe, really. There are fast travel points, but with as much fun as it is to navigate the landscape, I found myself rarely using them. I may be in the minority with this, but for me, sometimes the journey is as fun as the destination. The missions have a variety of different goals. From stealth infiltration and kidnapping to outright assault and mayhem. There are some missions that are repeated (interrogating enemies for intel, as an example) but I don’t feel like it’s any worse than any other typical game. I found all of the activities to be fun, fitting to the story and setting, and never once felt bored while doing them, even if it was repeatedly. Part of the reason I think I never got bored, is that you can do missions in a ‘do what you want, when you want, how you want’ kind of way. Just because you are kidnapping an enemy Lieutenant for the second or third time, doesn’t mean you can’t do it in a different way. Take a truck, stuff him in the trunk of a car, or evac in a helicopter. It’s up to you. That kind of flexibility is absolutely a blast. Planning the mission is just as big of a part as execution of the mission. Recon the area and make your own plan on how you think you can best accomplish your goal. Or how you think you’ll enjoy it more. Snipe people from a distance, distract the enemies with a flare while you sneak in, find a back way in to the compound taking out lights and sticking to the shadows, or charge right in guns-a-blazing. Disable the alarms and fire as few shots as necessary or let them call in back up to get a proper firefight going. If you aren’t having fun playing this, it’s your own fault, and you just aren’t trying. The game is not short, but I definitely found myself wanting more, when it was over. Really more of a sign of how much I enjoyed the game rather than feeling like I wasn’t getting a full experience. While there isn’t a “New Game +” mode (starting over will reset your accomplishments, skills, and gear) you can replay any completed missions, at any time. When I wanted to replay the game, I just replayed the missions one after the other, and since there is no ‘correct’ order to completing the different regions the first time through, you can do them in whatever order you please the second or third time as well. The main reasons FarCry games are fun for me, are the large maps and sandbox type ‘go anywhere, do anything’ style of gameplay, along with the ability to approach missions in a manner of your choosing. There is a goal, but how you get there, which direction you approach from, etc. are up to you. The main reasons that Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was a decent TC shooters was the character and weapon customizing ability and fun gameplay. I really don’t care much at all about online PvP gameplay. The Division and Rainbow Six: Siege did very little for me, plus story means more to me than online gaming does. With Wildlands not only do I get full online co-op campaign, but you can have multiple people join the game. Unlike the FarCry online gameplay, there isn’t a limit to the distance between players. You can be on completely different sides of the map, fast travel independently of one another, and even complete different goals at the same time. Just another way that you can assess the situation and attack the game how you please. Wildlands took everything I love about R6:V2 and FC games and combined them. If someone had asked me what I would want from a Ghost Recon game, this is it. Aside from a few minor gripes, this game is about as perfect of a game as I could’ve expected it to be. With weekly challenges you get a little more content here and there, and extra rewards just for playing the game. Even aside from rewards for weekly challenges, I foresee myself playing this game for a very long time to come. I hope that any future installments emulate and add to the gameplay and style of this spectacular title, and don’t take steps backward.

I've been playing Ghost Recon Wildlands since its release and it's been fun, especially online with friends. The map is huge and open, so you can literally go wherever you want. I really like that the game lets me play missions the way I want to play them. I can go in over a back wall quietly killing everyone along the way to complete a mission or drive through the front gates and fight everyone head on - it's all up to me and that's what keeps this game from being too repetitive. There are some gameplay and visual flaws - useless AI squad except for sync shots, enemies disappearing into mountains, squad members that magically appear in your car when you've driven away without them, etc. - but nothing that I would consider gamebreakers. A lot of fun and definitely recommended.

Definitely a fun entry in the Ghost Recon series. If you enjoyed Future Soldier, chances are you'll enjoy this game. The open world is huge and gorgeous with tons of things to do. Gameplay is similar to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but not as refined. Even though you have 3 A.I. partners in single player, you're pretty much on your own. The partner A.I. isn't very useful other than when using Sync Shot. This game was intended to be played with friends and honestly that's how you'll have the most fun. The story is okay so far. The sound is great. The environment, while not particularly nice up close (lots of low-res textures), looks incredible from a distance. Gunsmith is back and just as awesome. Character movement is smooth.

I have put a ton of hours into this game. All coop with my friend. I am playing it on PS4 Pro. Graphics are amazing. The open world is HUGE and sprawling. The game play is tight and def built for playing with your friends. Good amount of stuff to unlock. Nice customization of your character especially the looks.

From all the neutral reviews on this game I was hesitant to purchase it but once I did, I wish I had bought it sooner! It is a lot of fun and full of tactical situations that will take strategy to manuever enemies. Some of the friendly Ai’s act really dumb. That aside, I really enjoy this game. Definitely a blast with friends

Good game so far. I'm enjoying it a lot. There's a lot of things to do. Which in part is a slight con for the game. What I mean is that the side missions and general things to do begin to get repetitive. The way you can make variety is in the way you go about to achieve the mission. You really can go about completing how ever you like. I'm playing solo, and in the hardest difficulty. The A.I is kinda dumb. They just make them more sensitive to sound and more visually aware to you. I would definitely recommend this game. If you have at least one other person to play with that plays like you. It would make this game even better.

I purchased this game after reading reviews and playing the demos for a few recent Ghost Recon games. I was looking for something I could hold onto and play long term in between other games throughout the year. The combination of extensive offline mode/map along with open world offering made all the difference. The premise is interesting enough with plenty of options within the single player or collaborative setting. The mechanics are pretty good overall but I do find the vehicle handling a bit arcade-ish; overall a little loose. Not a deal breaker. The ops configuration controlling your team and picking your method is nice and allows you to play with various styles depending on how you feel about each mission or on a particular day. Vary happy with this purchase as I wrap up my Formula1 career and work through AC Origins. Will be a good filler for on and off play.

I have not gotten far in the game yet as my "game time" is hard to get but so far it's awesome. A true open world with many ways to customize and upgrade weapons and other skills. Many styles of play can be utilized based on your preference. Stealth or guns blazing, your choice. However, some situations workout better going one over the other. Graphics are solid and the story seems good. Coop play is insane partnering up with a buddy or publicly. You won't be disappointed with this purchase if you're in to first person open world GTA/The Division type games.

I've read reviews for this game but I had fun in the beta so whatever I bought it. Games simple, you and your squad of special forces "ghosts" fly, drive, boat, parachute, run, sneak around Bolivia trying to cripple a Mexican cartel headed by the dreaded El Sueno that's taken over while trying to strengthen the rebel resistance. Smuggling, Influence, Distribution, and Security are the 4 cornerstones of the Santa Blanca cartel. To weaken it each branch has a boss you must extract to the CIA agent you work for but to reach the boss their are 4-5 buchons(sub leaders) that control a random province that work for the boss of that specific branch. You complete missions to draw out the buchon that in turns draws out the boss. It can range from assassinations, sabotage, intel gathering, rebel assistance to kidnapping sicarios and other stuff. You can approach each mission either guns blazing (though it does add more soldiers trying to kill you) or tactically with your buddies moving in and taking out lights, snipers, generators, using drones for weak points in defense, asking for rebel diversion while you sneak around enemies, etc etc there are lots of ways to approach an objective. You can level up and upgrade abilities and your rebel support by finding weapons cases, sicarios medals, valuable intel and helping secure food, medicine, comms, and gasoline scattered around each province. Sounds fun? It is but it does get repetitive and honestly after you finish the game there is little replay-ability aside from doing previous missions over again. That being said I'm nowhere close to finished. I'm about 40 HOURS in and only took out 4 provinces(there's 16 altogether) Best played with friends personal or online. If you want added difficulty try no HUD with realistic difficulty, it gets crazy.

I beat this game on PC and since it was on a very nice sale for the PS4 I picked it up. Color me crazy. Anyway, things that didn't quite work well initially is now working a lot better. I'm especially happy about the helicopter fix as it handles way better now. Overall I like the goal of taking down the cartel bit by bit. It's a huge undertaking. Some more variety would have been nice because it gets repetitive. The difficulty increases as you go on but not by a heck of a lot. As for this second attempt, I will take my time to finish as I have other games I'd like to beat. LOL With the changes, I don't anticipate being super annoyed or frustrated. I did like it initially despite a few shortcomings. So, while it's not perfect it has more pros than cons. IMO

This game blew me away. The map is enormous. Getting from one side to the other takes a while. It’s aboit 12-13KM wide. Takes about 2-3 minutes on a helicopter to get across. The gameplay is outstanding!!
