I first saw this when it was released to the theater and loved it , this was back in the mid 70's , haven't seen it in a long time but it didn't lose anything over those years , still great and what a cast , must see !!!

This is the 5-channel audio mix that played in the theaters when the film was first released. This is the sound mix done by Pete Townshend himself on his 8-track Studer tape deck in his personal studio in his home in Twickenham. It is far different (and far superior) to the soundtrack album. Pinball Wizard, I'm Free, and the finale (See Me, Feel Me) are incredible. There are audio effects on Amazing Journey totally missing from the album. It's fun to watch the movie again, but I'm truly enjoying listening to it through my surround system, even without the picture. If you're a Who fan, you will love being immersed in Townshend's mix. It is remarkable. Make sure you get the blu-ray version with this 5.1 soundtrack.
