Limited 180gm Pink colored vinyl LP pressing, includes digital download. Being No One, Going Nowhere. The title of STRFKR's fourth album may seam bleak at first. But hold it in your head a minute, feel it's weight, and you may recognize the phrase for what it is a goal. In the era of the personal brand-amid the FOMO Age-it's increasingly hard to shed a stifling sense of self, or to just be in the moment that you're in. Well, consider this an invitation to get blissfully insignificant. That's what STRFKR founder Joshua Hodges aimed to do when he exiled himself to the desert to create this record, but he returned with his most significant work yet a set of darkly glistening dance songs rife with sticky beats, earworming hooks, philosophical heft, and bittersweet beauty. Album Tracks 1. Tape Machine 2. Satellite 3. Never Ever 4. Something Ain't Right 5. Open Your Eyes 6. Interspace 1. In the End 2. Maps 3. When I'm with You 4. Dark Days 5. Bright's third full length album, Blue Christian / Bliss Out v.12, offers more of the home recorded psych/improv that led Magnet to call the group's last album, The Albatross Guest House, InchPossibly the 'out' album of the year... Bright's assault on the senses verges on the stupefying.Inch (Sept./Oct. '97) Recorded with the expansive possibilities of the Bliss Out series in mind, Blue Christian is a largely instrumental affair, built on the bedrock of the group's Neu! inspired guitar and drum meditations and refracted through the ghosts of Sun Ra, John Coltrane, and Syd Barrett. The reviews aren't in yet, but the common people have spoken! One impartial listener said of Blue Christian, InchThese guys listen to too much Hendrix.Inch Amen. This is by far the Boston group's most diverse, mature and beautiful accomplishment. Among musical interpretations of 70's German minimalism and 60's American psych, improv and out jazz, the soul of Boston's Bright resonates and pulses, warm and vital. Blue Christian is a big sound, reconstructing rock music for the next century. Album Tracks 1. Fuller 2. Trip to the Sound-Alike Finals 3. Tapping 4. Blue Christian 5. Grand Mal 6. Europa 7.
