For those not inclined towards Bennett's 4-disc anthology 40 YEARS, this album collection from 1972 is a solid survey of all the singer's hits going all the way back to 1951, including InchRags to RichesInch and the castanet-driven. InchI Left My Heart in San FranciscoInch makes it's appearance midway and the increase in confidence and authority in Bennett's performances after this milestone is readily apparent. From this moment on, Tony Bennett InchownsInch just about any song he sings, as his definitive versions of InchWho Can I Turn To,Inch and InchFor Once in My LifeInch amply demonstrate.
