I needed to replace an old 37 inch LCD that had served us well as a second tv. I found this tv on the showroom floor and was shocked at the price for the features and image quality. 50" 1080p picture for $299. A week later it was on sale for $249 and Best Buy credited the difference. I installed in about 15 mins using my existing wall mount. This TV weighs less than the 37" I replaced. Excellent picture and sound right out of the box. It has several picture modes, but the standard mode was perfect for my light controlled room. The remote is straight forward to use, and I never needed any instructions for operation or setup. I have a PS4 and Xbox one connected and gaming is smooth with no issues. This is a great option if you are looking to upgrade your smaller TV at a good price.

Bought for my son to use in a suite with 3 other suite mates. Spent under $300. It was shipped to our home free of charge, and arrived promptly and undamaged. My son has been using it and is very pleased. The TV has a good pic and volume. Thus far no complaints.

Had to adjust the settings a bit, only for my liking cause I'm picky. But it is a fantastic TV

Had a TV that was 8 years old and needed to be replaced for a newer model & found this great deal. Plays well. Sound could be better. You would definitely need a surround sound system becasue you have to turn the volume up to about 25-30 for med

I decided I needed a TV in the garage so, my 9 year old 42" Dynex plasma got moved there, and this Toshiba replaced it in my secondary basement system. Installation and set-up was quick and obvious. Extremely light weight, easy to handle. I have no need for a Smart TV, as I have BluRay and Roku players loaded with internet access apps already. This is my first larger-screen NON-plasma, so, I'm getting used to the less snappy picture common to this and most LED/LCD sets. I always use my surround system for audio, so I can't comment on the set's internal speaker sound quality. People think it was goofy to buy this 1080P display, versus a 4K variation. Well, Dish TV, Direct TV, local broadcasters, most cable systems, and online streamers like Netflix, are lucky to be providing a 720P picture, yet alone the 1080P this set is capable of. True universal, consistent 4K picture sources are 5 years away, if we are lucky, so this affordable name-brand set is capable of more than most of us need. This set's picture should satisfy 90%+ of today's viewers looking for a 49" screen.

I love my Toshiba flat screen Hdtv! It is so easy to navigate/use. The color, picture brightness, sound, and design are all of excellent quality! The price couldn't be beat! I plug in my apple tv in the USB port behind the tv, and I have myself a very nice entertainment device. For years, I've bought several Toshiba tv's for different rooms in my house, and the quality of pure excellence keeps me as a returning customer. :-)

The TV is nice (and cheaper). Not too large nor too small for a small to medium living room. The picture is clear without noticeable judder. The sound is full and can be loud. It is also easy to operate. The only thing is that it has only two HDMI input..Since this is not a smart TV you may need an HDMI switcher if you have cable, BR player, apple TV etc. In addition, I noticed just like other new TV's it has only one button on the TV itself (on /off). So, Don't lose your remote. If you're looking for a nice good value TV, and you are not particular with smart or 4K , you may want to take a look this one. Hope this short review helps.

Can't complain at all. Especially for the price. 49" 1080p for under $300. This is a great deal. This was for use in a office setting mounted on a wall and was farely light to pick up above my head with no assistant

This tv was a super good price for the size tv we desired. We were amazed we could find one so reasonably priced and are quite satisfied with the tv quality, sound, size, etc.

The TV is exceptional for the price paid! Some lag but nothing terrible for a 60hz television. Color is great and sound quality is good. Can't complain.

I saw this item for sale for 289, and the following week 269. I assumed it was a low quality TV, but the reviews at 4.5 stars, so I purchased it. Super easy to work, decent sound, nice shortcut for sound and picture adjustment and a very good quality picture. I wanted app features (like smart tv would have), but I simply used a Roku stick and Bam, I have a $500 TV or nearly have a price. Very satisfied with the purchase. I wish I could say the same about the service which in my opinion has declined in the stores (maybe just my bad luck)

This is an extremely simplistic tv . It's not 4K and is limited on connections and features . This tv is best suited for a bedroom when all you want is a large screen with a great picture and are willing to listen to the speakers built in to the tv which are really quite spectacular for a flat screen with tiny speakers . It's not complicated to use and simple is always better !

This was an emergency purchase due to our previous tv going completely black-screen on us the day before. With a couch-inducing surgery coming up, we NEEDED a tv. At a better than Wal-Mart price and reading some reviews, this was going to be the best thing for our needs. I wouldn't recommend it for HD gaming or anything too fancy, but it's a good looking screen with the blu-ray and HD cable tv. Setup was incredibly easy and paired with our remote and other devices seamlessly.

great tv for the $$ spent!! Honestly I think the picture quality and 1080 has improved since purchase I have a 32" tv 1080/120 hrz an at the beginning I was thinking my 32" had better quality but actually looking at it now id say this one does, we watch Netflix on it and game. Great tv for the price. Toshiba has been around forever they're a brand I always turn to when I want quality for the the least amount of money.

Seriously. Picture looks great, it's physically lightweight, and has all the inputs I need. One thing to mention specifically, and that I see others mentioning as well, is the sound. This has incredible sound for being stock speakers coming from a flat screen television. If you're in need of an upgrade at a decent price this one is definitely a solid choice.
