Total Control - Typical System - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Soul Control - Cycles [COMPACT DISCS] date 08/25/2009

Following the interstellar proportions of 2013's a Sun Spinning Backwards, Dust Songs imagines a world beyond the event horizon of it's predecessor, where a generation has come and gone from a familiar earth. Eroded post-folk stories of an unknown world, layers of debris, and fractured song cycles riding broken transmissions. Electronic pulses, warped guitar loops and blankets of drone, above a constant undertow of dark matter.

The Bevis Frond emerged fully-formed from the skull of British rock. A cult favourite PitchforkThe heavy third offering from Nick Saloman bursts with 60s-psych and includes epic track InchTangerine Infringement BeakInch clocking in at nearly 20 minutes, 'Into The Cryptic Mist' and 'Lights Are Changing' a song that went on to be covered by Mary Lou Lord.A labour of love and fiercely independent, his prolific output has seen as many releases in as many years and an uncompromising vision under his own tag Woronzow. Hailed as Incha Hendrix devotee every bit as tough and contemporary as the serrated guitar chorales of Sonic Youth and PixiesInch by Rolling Stone's David Fricke, his immense psych-stoner-rock has seen him become a cult figure in his own right. The Bevis Frond's legion of loyal fans includes Teenage Fanclub, Dinosaur Jr and Mary Lou Lord, who have all covered his music.
