So not a perfect 4K transfer (low bitrate at times) but it is better than the prior HD blu-ray. Probably doesn't ship with a slipcover anymore, but it's nice to look at!

I have the VHS, DVD, and now this really awesome 4K steelbook of one of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time! Total Recall is one of those movies that you can admire in its presentation of story, character performance and sci-fi visual effects for its time. Director Paul Verhoeven [RoboCop] [Basic Instinct] directs an action packed thriller where you, as the viewer, question whether Doug Quaid is actually living the life of a secret agent or dreaming it. An awesome movie with a memorable cast of characters! A must buy!

Outstanding steelbook for Total Recall to date! THIS is the Ultimate Edition for this movie and the artwork on this one is for keeps. Kudos to the artists! The movie looks really good on 4K UHD and the sound is great also. Blu-ray of special features included which makes this a 3-disc set. Menus are fantastic with easy selections. Highly recommended!

Total Recall is just an absolute blast. My first time watching this is this year, 2021 and this is definitely the best way I could have ever watched it for the first time! This is some the best acting from Arnold I have ever seen and he just oozes charisma throughout. The 4K transfer/restoration is fantastic too. Now an absolute favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy movie of mine.

Ever wonder what it would be like to go somewhere but not be physically there, but only mentally? This movie is it, but it is a bit of a thriller that blurs the lines of what you did there if you really did it there.

Nice plastic clear slip keeps your movie title and disc information off the steelbook when slip is removed, I really like that more and more steelbooks are doing this. The paint is a nice metallic color but not entirely glossy. Changes brightness depending on the light angle.

The picture quality is hit or miss with this transfer. It wont be everyones cup of tea. I'll say I didnt love the transfer, but there were some scenes that did look really good. The print was definitely cleaned up of scratches and tears. Fine layer of grain throughout. The audio is solid. Love the steelbook artwork. Very happy with this purchase.

Total Recall is Arnold at his best. He has a great script, lots of violent action, plenty of cheeky humor and now a gorgeous 4K transfer. Audio is amazing with the new Atmos track. Picture has lots of grain but is the best I’ve ever seen. So very worth it.

Good movie to rewatch in 4k. 1:85 aspect ratio takes advantage of a full screen. The grain is visible in this transfer but it's not too bad

- Great movie. - Great presentation. The only bad thing is that the Spanish subtitles have Mexican regionalisms.

Based on Phillip K. Dick's novel "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale", Total Recall, directed by Paul Verhoven, is over the top, action packed, sci-fi mayhem. Anyone reading this review already knows the stellar cast and mind twisting plot so I'll stick to the 4K upgrade features. The Dolby Vision HDR is an eye popping spectacle particularly the red Mars landscape and the neon colors of Venusville combined with ultra deep blacks create a near 3D optical illusion and the film has never looked better. Those of you who have the blu ray will notice a dramatic improvement in the UHD/HDR 4K version. The Dolby Atmos adds new dimensions in sound quality and brings home the theatrical experience. All in all, this is a must own for fans of 4K conversions, action and sci fi and of course..Ahnald!

This disc is cleaned up and spiffy. I have bought each new version because admittedly I'm a TR geek. So let me just say that in my opinion, the improvements are rather subtle. The visuals are improved, but still reminiscent of the technology available in 1990 when it was revolutionary. The ATMOS adds vertical spaciousness to the scenes that you would expect and it is wonderful - but again it doesn't blow you away.

One of the smartest sci-fi action films of the 90's, it's a must own. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays as construction worker who has vivid dreams of being on Mars. He head into a clinic that'll offer him memories if living put whatever fantasy he wants however it all goes wrong when forces at play reveal there is more to him than what he is

Total Recall is totally awesome. Paul Verhoeven (Robocop) directed this classic with Ahnuld and Sharon Stone. Great fx (some of of them hold up pretty good) and great action.
