This is the Lambo of home mesh systems. It's fast but expensive. Tp-link told customers to expect a Spring release at 450 price point. A year late and a hundred more than anticipated but it's reliable. Zero drops since install. I took off a star for two reasons. One. The hundred dollar surprise upon late release. The second reason is the extra monthly subscription you need to fork over for the HomeShield. At a 550 price point this should be included. Especially during a pandemic. Good unit though. You can add them to your existing deco network too. Cool.

This is the best by far. I tried everything linksys velop , orbi netgear, Alien amplifi all top notch stuffs spending days and hours on the phone with each tech support and their tier 1 engineering departments they couldn't solve my speed fluctuating around my 4000 sqf house and all claiming covers 6000 sqf. Some areas close to the router I was getting 400gbps and all of a sudden 0mbps crazy fluctuations. But tp-link deco x90 Ax6600 I set it up no exaggeration in 15 minutes and I get speed around 470 out of 500 all day long even I'm streaming 4k Netflix on 4 different rooms at the same time and my test results the same. I don't know but there is something different about this router. Looks simple and only 1 ethernet port but I have ethernet switches that I connected to it. I even have it inside the tv cabinet unlike other ones that I tried. I was almost giving up because I didn't know what to try after this if it didn't work. App is also covers everything you need. Hopefully stays the same

Great Product a little expensive, awaiting firmware update to address simple problems. Range Great, Speed Ranges On Mesh 360-600MBPS with 1000 Fiber Package. Testing 2000 Fiber Package Next Month. Priced a little on the high end. Tied with Asus in my experience.

This product is extremely easy to setup. You loose some flexibility with configuration but for the average user it is well worth it due to the easr of setup. Wi-Fi performance is in the above average range and the coverage is very good. I was expecting to be blown away by the speeds based on the cost but was mildly impressed instead. Overall, a very good solution for whole house high speed Wi-Fi access but a bit pricey.

We’ve had this for a few months now and been really impressed with it. Haven’t had problems with Wi-Fi dropping and it covers the house well (and into the backyard) with fast speeds. Super easy to get setup. Only con is it can’t be customized as much as other routers we’ve had but it does everything we need.

I’ve been waiting for these to be released for more than a year suffering along with my old system all the while. I’m pleased to say it was worth it. I have a 3 story 4000 SF home and gig speed fiber. This system has already eliminated my dead spots and the weakest location still has very high speeds. Setup was reasonably simple. It is expensive but there isn’t a thing else out there quite like it.

I am a very critical user, and have tried (and returned) quite a few other systems. This product is the best hands down! I have had zero drops, and even in the most remote places of our 4000SqF house, nothing goes under 100mb, but normally i will get 300-700mb with my Cox Gigablast (1000mb) connection. Due to Covid, I have multiple zooms going on in parallel per day, >26 devices all online all the time and never a complaint - especially from the kids who are the heaviest users. I had it setup in under 5 minutes, super super easy. The security (Homeshield) is awesome, its protected us a few times already (in the log.) Only comment would be the price and the fact you have to pay for the Homeshield but worth it. I cant wait for the single expansion units as i will surely get another one to get the last corners up from 100mb to 300-700, not really necessary, but as i said, im critical :-)

These TP-Link - Deco X90 Home Mesh wi-fi 6 system made a huge difference in my internet speed. The system was not difficult to set up. The step-by-step instructions through the app were simple to follow. And the added bonus for me is that I can get great wi-fi reception outside on my front porch, in my backyard, and in the basement where it was often sketchy or did not work at all. The auto-update of security patches through the app is a welcoming relief to know my whole house is protected. This was a long overdue upgrade.

4300 sq foot home including basement. Two home offices, three elearning kids, ring security system with 4 cameras, all wifi and no cable. Metronet fiber 1000 comes in at front corner of then house and needed coverage to the reach cameras outside on the back corner. This does the trick. I'm getting 300-400 on my ac phone up and down in the basement. Which is the farthest point away in the house. I'll dont have any AX devises but will be upgrading laptop and phone soon. I thought that we may need to get a third for better coverage. But these two did the trick. This was the best for us. Others that failed or not as good as these. Google wifi (3) week and slow Netgear orbi ax6000 (2) didn't last a day as it started locking up. Eero pro ax4200 (3) bad meshing. Arris ax11000 (2) lack of security features. TP-Link - DECO X90 is a great WiFi 6 mesh system. It provides even and strong WiFi throughout my entire 3100 Sq Ft home. I recommended it to several family and friend. My brother bought the 3 unit smaller TP-Link and it also covers his three floor home. I am very pleased with this first time purchase. The App makes setting up a breeze. I did have to rename several items as I went along as the software will sometimes insert a vague description of a device. Example: iPhone so I would add iPhone 14 and who's iPhone it belongs to. So I recommend keeping up with each additional device as you go along.

Needed to upgrade the MESH network in our mission's training center (3 stories, 10,000 sq ft) from older Wi-Fi 5 dual band due to I/N dropping out frequently. Bought these, paired with 2 TP-Link Deco W7200 AX3600 Wi-Fi 6 Tri-bands to cover all 3 floors (including dormitory rooms at far ends of corridors) for those housed there. Supports Smart TVs, gamers, and usual mix of Wi-Fi needs (about 18 people using). I/N is 300/30 from modem on middle floor connected to X90 parent, 290/28 upstairs/downstairs main rooms, and 120/25 in corner rooms (behind several walls, different floors from parent router). Solved the I/N reliability issues!

We bought these to increase the wifi range in our house. The AT&T fiber router is located downstairs and the front of the house and devices struggled to connect upstairs at the back of the house. We tried AT&T's mesh point, but it never seemed to fix anything. Once we installed these, wifi connectivity througout the house has been amazing. There are no dead points anymore. Extremely easy to set up and the app is very easy to use to set up port forwarding, etc. The hardest part was setting up the IP Passthrough on the AT&T router.

They connected with my modem and through the app without a problem. The app itself is nice and easy to use. These are the best looking routers on the market to me. The units tell you there are updates and they are still updating these making them better and better. I am very happy with my purchase and the AI does work very well.

These were incredibly easy to setup. The wireless speeds are absolutely blazing. My desktop PC is about 40 feet away from the 2nd node and I get over 1 Gbps to my wired home server. No latency issues. Everything locally responds in single digit millisecond intervals. Sometimes even sub-millisecond. Truly worth the money. 4 stars because the apps are different for Android and iphone. Kind of annoying that some features are released later for the Google phones.

Great product. Hooked it up to Starlink system. In two different buildings about 250 feet apart and works as hoped.

I bought this unit after seeing so many promising features about this in the TP-Link forum. This turned out to be a high priced flawed product. I have been running into frequent connection drops across all the laptops at home sometimes in the middle of a Team Call or a demo . I have been observing connection drop across all other devices as well, Nest, Alexa, iPhone, just to name a few. I tried all options, firmware update on the app , power cycling modem, router, and all devices multiple times and still no luck. Finally decided to get a new Netgear Nighthawk and to my surprise no more connection drops in the middle of calls . TP-Link should have done some testing and fixed their issues before rolling out this overpriced malfunctioning device into mass market

I did not recognize its deadly design fault until I exhausted my applicable solutions. Its satellite nodes always pick the main deco only (regardless of its signal strength) as the signal source although the main one (as the router that shall be connected to the modem) has very weak signal. Again, satellite nodes will NOT pick its adjacent satellite node as source even when it has much stronger signal than the main. I searched the Internet and noticed this problem existed for many users as well. I bought two sets of X60 (in 3-pack box) and one set of X90 (in 2-pack box) for an average home and am still struggling with weak and unstable WiFi.

I loved TP Link in the past but the the Decos were a super disappointing product. Whats worse is my time frame to return these ran out after two weeks so I'm stuck leaving these in a closet. Like many other commenters I bought this along with some Deco X60s for my home. It was terrible. Constant connection drops, constant issues with the mesh not connecting to a stronger signal. Constant issues with my devices grabbing a node further away than the closest one and not being able to drop that for a stronger one.

The TP-Link Deco X90 offers a super strong, tri-band mesh performance and full support for Wi-Fi 6, and is with a multi-gig WAN port.

Bought these to upgrade from an older Orbi. I've had them a few months and haven't had any complaints yet. The app works well to control them.
