The Kasa app is really easy to use and really straight forward. I wish they offered more smart things, and i hope they expand their line soon. The light itself is nice and soft, has the same output as about a 30-40w conventional bulb. also it kinda looks cool. Also the price is hard to beat. The lack of color choice is a little bit limiting, but that's not really something that would be useful based on the nature of this type of light so i wouldn't count it against it. You can adjust the brightness and dim it as needed.

I ended up buying 5 of these from BB online when they were on sale for my home. Two for our master bedroom lamps, two for some kitchen accent lights, and one for my front porch door light. Set up through the Kasa app was easy but not without some issues. Three of them connected to my wifi just fine and updated themselves with no issues but the other two took several tries, with the app saying it either couldn't find them or they were unable to connect to wifi. But, after a few tries everything finally got up and running and I started seeing what I could do with them. I set the porch light on a schedule using the app so it comes on every night and later shuts itself off. Super cool. However, the other two sets of lights behave kind of odd (and i'm sure it's probably the ones that took a long time to connect to wifi/update). Sometimes when I try to turn them on with the app or with my google hubs only one of the kitchen lights will turn on, or only one of the bedroom ones turns on. You then have to manually turn them off at the switch, wait a few minutes, then turn them back on and they will all do their smart stuff but I usually always have to "reset" them at least once a week. Maybe those two are semi-faulty, but overall, I enjoy the lights. My ultimate purpose for getting them was to be able to set some of them on schedules and being able to turn them off and on from outside the house if we forgot to leave lights on for our dogs or when it was bedtime and no one wanted to get up to turn the lights off. Overall, I'm happy with the lights but sometimes annoyed when they have to be reset (and it's not just these ones, I also have some C by GE ones in other rooms that have the same issues). Pros: usually easy to setup, can be scheduled, they are dimmable (and also very bright at 100%), can be controlled by voice through my google home/hubs. Cons: sometimes cannot be found on the network and have to be reset.

This bulb is the closest I have found to an incadesant bulb.. very easy setup and works flawlessly with Google home including telling Google what percentage you want it set at. Went back and bought 2 more. Using one as an outdoor entry light and 2 inside my house. Will probably buy more .. great price

Tp-link nails it with this bulb! I searched many Wi-Fi enabled smart filament bulbs and TP-Link takes the prize here! It's the only filament that I was able to see a stark difference in the amount of light emitted when set to 1% versus other bulbs of similar features. This bulb fits the industrial decor lamps that I have scattered around my house and adds to the classic nostalgia look that a filament bulb provides. Connectivity is spectacular given the bulb connects directly to your Wi-Fi network without the need of a hub. The app is easy to use and works well with the other TP link enabled devices that I have. Google Assistant integration is also seamless. At regular price these bulbs are a good value but if you can get them on sale it is even better!

I bought a couple of Kasa light bulbs a few years back just to test out the whole smart light thing. I loved the idea that they were affordable and didn't need some kind of hub. When I needed to change out the lights on a painfully difficult to reach chandelier, I decided to go with these edison/filament style bulbs. They look great and I love how I can set my lights to a timer or just use them on the switch. The dimmer function is nice too. I ended up getting a couple more for a fixture in my home office.

These smart lights are awesome - super easy to control with voice commands once everything has been set up through the TP Link app and has been added to Alexa's devices. Plus, these come with the ability to dim in any of your lamps or light fixtures in your home. Perfect for setting the mood for lounging in your home theater or waking up in the morning without killing your eyes.

TP-Link Kasa has been an mainstay in my home since the early days of smart home integration. The light bulbs prior to these were bulky and often made lamp purchases difficult. That's where the beauty of these lies. They are smaller than the conventional bulbs of years ago and they are a part of the Kasa line-up so it just works wonderfully.

Finally TP-Link made a smaller form bulb. Been using the older KB bulbs for years. They were tall... Didn't fit new new lamps in the house. Found these on sale and they worked. Definitely happy. 1 star off due to taking forever to get to me.

I was looking for smart bulbs to put in some pendant lamps and over the dining room table, but, with the bulbs being visible, I wanted something that looked nice as well. Enter the transparent kasa smart bulb. Like their color bulb, it's very easy to use, and by grouping bulbs together in the app, I was able to have control of a 3-light dining room fixture with one Google/Alexa voice command. Both for on, off, and dimming! Of the 5 of these I bought, one of them had the glass come off the base when I was inserting them. But Best Buy was awesome, and replaced it with no hassle. Every company can have a manufacturing defect. It's how they (and the store) handle it that makes the difference! If you're looking for Style with your Smart Bulbs, here ya go!

Still using it, it connects, it works with Alexa and Google, I think this is a great bulb for the price. Make sure you read about the color temp of this, don't buy and then complain about the color. I see people complain about the color and I'm like: Someone doesn't know how to read!

I own Hue and like them just fine however this purchase was for my parents’ home. Making their home a smart home for ease. These were placed in a ceiling fan (so they don’t have to reach up over their head)...no bridge needed...easily paired with Kasa App & Alexa...nice for them to use their voice turn the lights on.
