The ease of use, the fun of cooking difficult dishes and the comfort of perfect temps makes this the best grill I have ever had. Also the app provides thousands of ideas for new recipes as it also allows you to control every aspect of your cook. This is amazing and im so glad I joined the Traeger Nation!

I bought this after waiting for a month for Best Buy to get it in stock as it was sold out almost instantly when they first carried it. As soon as I saw it available I jumped on it. I consider myself a good griller. I also own a gas and charcoal but this grill (named Sir-Ribs-A-Lot) is becoming my go-to. The Wi-Fi notifications and control are the key to success here. I have smoked 4 pork shoulders and a brisket overnight. I have comfort knowing that I will get an alert if pellets are low or if temps are inconsistent. The first overnighter was a bit nerve wracking but it delivered (brisket for mother's day). The last few pork shoulders have produced the best pulled pork I've ever had. All of the meat has been the juiciest of anything I've ever grilled, which blew my mind due to the length of the cook (low and slow). I haven't yet perfected ribs yet (1 attempt) but everything else has been flawless with the recipes and directions that are included IN THE APP. The smart controller keeps the temperature within a few degrees of your target temp (unless your bacon grease flares up. RIP Jalapeno Poppers.) I also got the extra front shelf (highly recommended) and the liners (tin foil is too thin and gets thinner with long cooks). Pellet grills need to be cleaned out more regularly. I recommend a small battery operated shop-vac for the task. Bonus points to BBY for having a huge selection of pellets as well. I'm exited to try all of the different kinds (apple, hickory, signature, cherry, mesquite, pecan). Traeger does a lot of marketing. They are the known brand for pellet grills. There might be others that are cheaper, but you will have no hesitations or regrets with this purchase.

So far, so good! Got the new smoker last Thursday and put together in an easy process, by myself, following included instructions. Smoked 3 racks of ribs the following day to perfection (I am an experienced smoker with no needed learning curve), and then smoked 4 pounds of jerky the following day. I would say, buy more pellets sooner than later as I used over 20 pounds with 10 hours of smoke. Depends on cook length, temp, smoke style. Just don’t get caught without enough pellets. Love this new smoker!!

This thing changes the way you grill. Food is more tender and moist then any other grill… it’s also very easy to operate.. the low and slow is so nice being able to monitor the temp and pellets from my app… change temp if it’s cooking to slow or fast right from the app.. and if your foods done but your not around just hit that keep warm button and your food will stay hot… just don’t leave it on keep warm for too long or it will dry out…

This is amazing being able to create what I would consider restaurant quality foods at home. I have tried burgers, ribs, ribeye, chicken thighs, apple cranberry cobbler, and a few Chex mix recipes and everything turns out great. Just follow instructions for care of the grill, set up the app (easy with a good WiFi connection where the smoker will sit) and start cooking. I can cook steaks in 20 min or 3 hours depending on how much smoky flavor I want. I was concerned about too heavy of a smoke flavor but each cook has been right on. Most recipes I have followed through the Traeger app and they guide you well.

Couldnt have been happier when i got my Traeger. Love making ribs, pulled pork and Brisket. Have so many other things im gonna make on it. Traeger is super convenient and easy to use.

We love it. Best Buy assembled and delivered for us. Everything is perfect with the grill. We have used it so much since getting it. The Traeger app has a ton of recipes and is super helpful.

This pellet smoker is the best grill on the market. You just set it and forget it. It makes life easier while back yard BBQ'ing. You will simply love it.

I am on my third attempt at getting this grill. I purchased the initial one from Best Buy. After installing the grill, it had a white discoloration on the back of the grill after I primed the auger and ran its test prior to use. The metal almost looked warped. I contacted Traeger and they sent me another one. The box arrived damaged, and the screw was snapped for the top cover. I would need to tap the screw to even get it out. I contacted Traeger, and they are sending me a "new" one. Overall, very dissatisfied with the quality assurance of this product, and I overpaid for this grill, as this grill is a lot cheaper right now. Wish I bought a blackstone.

I have one, this one was for my son for XMAS. This smoker can do everything from smoke, grill or bake!

I upgraded to this grill from a small pit boss. It's a good size and i like the digital controls via the app. The big issue is the super smoke. It doesn't add any additional smoke taste versus my small pit boss and was the primary reason i upgraded. Also i am already getting paint discolorations on the front. Ive cooked once and had the grill 10 days. At this point would say dont invest this much money in this grill and get a lesser model.

I've had my Timberline for over a year now and it is the finest cooker I've ever owned. As a loyal Traeger owner since 2002, I've had a few different models, but this thing is a completely new level of quality and consistency. The insulation holds temperatures better and burns less pellets. The new smoke flow adds even more flavor. And, the wifi controller keeps me connected to my grill from anywhere. Well done!

Researched and studied the entire Traeger product line forever. Was deciding between the Pro series and the Ironwood series. Even though I am not an experienced "griller" I decided to go with the Ironwood. The Pro series is awesome from family and friends that have purchased that line. I just wanted something a little out of my comfort zone to grow into. I tend to keep and use things forever so that was a tiny factor I used in spending a little more. Overall, this grill is rock solid. So many gadgets and fun things you can add on to this grill to help with anything that you are going to grill. It has made me comfortable to actually grill for people. I NEVER was the person who grilled. Even though I have only used it 3 times now (HA!) I have grilled for people 2 of those times. I love this grill. It is worth the money I promise you. As long as you cover it when you are not using it, clean it when you should I am pretty sure it will be part of your cooking routing for years to come. If you are debating on a Traeger, do what I did and look up You Tube videos. Look around the internet and watch people grill with it. I think you will understand why other people purchase this grill. Again, I debated on buying a Traeger for over a year and finally did it. You will be happy. It is just a solid piece of equipment with tons of suppose online and in stores everywhere. Oh... one more thing. When you are debating the size do this.... if you are never going to grill for more than 2 people. Get the smaller size of any of the grills from them. If you are going to grill for 4 people or more.... get the larger size. I promise you will thank me.

Great grill. Coming from a stick burner, this grill gives very good smoke flavor and consistent heat. Great decision. Slow shipping, and could come with more accessories but the ease of everything makes up for it. Easy assembly, easy to hear, ease to set up.

On the fence on whether to spend $1500 on a grill? Don’t be! The Traeger 885 is a beast and is made to last many years. The grill was easy to assemble and it is recommended that 2 people assemble, but I carefully did it by myself in 2 hours. My first time using the grill I attempted and succeeded in making restaurant quality ribs. No joke! This thing makes me look good. Definitely recommend you purchase, you won’t regret!

As someone that is new to smoking and grilling, this grill is perfect. Maintains temperature +- 5 degrees, connects to an app for remote monitoring (can also just use the screen if you don’t like that), and it’s easy to deep clean. I’ve had for about 10 months now and the outside still looks brand new.

Absolutely worth it! Wood pellets add that next level of flavor to your grilling. You can definitely feel the quality in any Traeger product. I opted for the Ironwood 885 as I felt it was the best balance between price and value as the features and sizing fit my family’s needs. The phone app is top notch and makes grilling a breeze with excellent features and a massive community of recipes where I think it really completes the unit.
