Tritonal - Primosphere - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2019 . For nearly a decade the story of Com Truise has relied on science fiction and abstract fact. Seth Haley's singular style of melodic beat music subsists as hazy machinist nostalgia, a mainframe downloaded cosmology. With mini-LP Persuasion System, Haley leaves the past narrative behind, settling into a new period marked by change - on this planet, in the present - putting forth his most grounded and visceral work to date. The project began as an experiment. Haley switched digital audio workstations, rebuilt his palette of sounds, and tasked himself with simply trying it out. The exercise freed him of expectations and permitted a process that echoed the tones of more immediate external environments. A gravity had seeped in; resulting material shifts between bleakness and sublime suspense, awe at the expanse of existing, in looking back and letting go. Album Tracks 1. Worldline 2. Persuasion System 3. Gaussian 4. Ultrafiche of You 5. Kontex 6. Existence Schematic 7. Laconism 8. Privilege Escalation 9. Departure

2011 from Com Truise, one of the many pseudonyms of New Jersey designer/musician Seth Haley. After his well-received Cyanide Sisters EP, a grip of remixes for artists like Twin Shadow, Neon Indian, and Daft Punk, and a few floating mp3s, Galactic Melt finally enters your brain spaces. And what an appropriate title it bears. Haley envisioned Galactic Melt as a sort of film score, from the mind, chronicling the lift and death of Com Truise, the world's first synthetic/robotic astronaut, from his creation and life on earth to his subsequent mission to a newly discovered galaxy called Wave 1. Eventually, Truise becomes one with his newfound cosmos, like Pinocchio becoming a real boy, but in the nether regions of imaginary space. Album Tracks 1. Terminal 2. VHS S*x 3. Cathode Girls 4. Air Cal 5. Flightwave 6. Hyperlips 7. Brokendate 8. Glawio 9. Ether Drift 10. Futureworld
