Tuff Darts - Tuff Darts! - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Diamond Star Halos is the 2022 album from Def Leppard, their first album since their chart topping self-titled record in 2015. It features 15 tracks including the anthemic, stadium-ready singles InchKickInch and InchFire It Up,Inch with guest vocals from Alison Krauss on InchThis GuitarInch and InchLifeless. Inch The album title references T. Rex's InchBang a Gong (Get It On)Inch with nods to T. Rex, David Bowie, and Mott The Hoople across the album.

Tuff Darts' self-titled 1978 debut is a gritty, high-energy slice of New York punk and power pop with a sharp, sarcastic bite. Emerging from the legendary CBGB scene, the band blends tough-guy swagger with clever songwriting and tight musicianship. Tracks like Inch(Your Love Is Like) Nuclear WasteInch and InchAll for the Love of Rock 'n' RollInch combine sneering vocals with punchy riffs and hook-laden choruses. There's a dark humor running through songs like InchMy Guitar Lies Bleeding in My Arms,Inch showing a band that doesn't take itself too seriously-even while rocking hard. Produced by Bob Clearmountain, the album has a polished sound that doesn't undercut it's raw attitude. Though short-lived, Tuff Darts captured the spirit of late-'70s New York with this underrated gem.
