About this product

Hip hop duo Twiztid recently obtained the masters of their 2005 album Mutant from Psychopathic Records. Rather than just remaster and reissue the album, Jamie Spaniolo and Paul Methric have gone one step further and remixed the whole project as well. In essence, you can hang on to your old copy of Mutant and get ahold of this as well since every song on this version is different from the original ! Spaniolo and Methric, who perform under the respective personas of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child, are former members of the group House of Krazees, which disbanded in 1997 a year after Jamie and Paul left.

The Laziest Remix, collaboration between Elizabeth McQueen and former Austenite David Lazaroff and his St. Louis soul-freakout-folk band, Brothers Lazaroff, pushes McQueen far beyond her American roots comfort zone. This collection takes five songs solidly based in the tradition of mid-20th century vocal jazz from her 2010 the Laziest Girl in Town, plus one song from the Brothers catalogue and infuses them with elements of hip-hop, noise rock, R&B and reggae. The outcome is a fresh reworking of the music that brings together the best of multiple genres into groovy, danceable art-form.
