Excellent Battery replacement for my Bose Mini Sound link ( 6 buttons Version). It is Just the battery that comes in the packet, no where does it state it comes with a tool kit. ( which is fine, its a great battery). You will need to have a Torx T9H Bit at hand, there are only 4 screws holding the battery in. The Battery does have a nice Dampener like weather strip on the inside surface of the battery that will surround the contact point/surface on the Bottom of the Bose aluminum Housing. --*Once installed the Battery Light will keep blinking red, to which you will have to Hold down the Mute Botton for 10 Seconds to reset the device.* Thats pretty much it, I've had this Bose for years, this is the first Battery replacement I have ever done. Great battery, I am extremely glad Best Buy has this.

I was very disappointed. The battery came without instructions or the special tool needed to install it. I called Bose but they don't sell the battery anymore. They did tell me that I needed a Torx screwdriver. I bought one at ACE Hardware (four different sizes actually, but I was glad to get what i needed) . And then it did not work. The Bose Soundlink Mini still works if i leave it on the charging tray but only for a half hour or so. I returned through the Geek Squad and they gave me my money back. I really liked the sound of this Bose speaker. I hate to throw away something that still works. Very unfortunate.

Teh new battery device works exactly as expected and provides excellent sound.
