UMG - Gabrielle - Find Your Way - Colored Vinyl - VINYL LP

Limited Transparent Curacao Blue Colored Vinyl. From the early '90s to the turn of the millennium, Gabrielle was one of the UK's most successful and beloved artists. With two unforgettable #1 smashes ('Dreams' and 'Rise'), a back catalogue full of Top 10 hits, two albums which reached 4 x Platinum status, two BRIT Awards, two MOBOs and an Ivor Novello, everything she touched seemed to turn to gold. In recent times, Gabrielle has enjoyed a remarkable resurgence, one that proves that timeless, empowering songwriting and a distinctive voice that is the very definition of soul will never go out of fashion.

In February 2024, Tav Falco and his incomparable Panther Burns descended upon Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis, Tennessee to record their 14th studio album, Desire On Ice. The result is a career-spanning collection of Falco's original compositions, with song selections highlighting various stages of the Panther Burns' 45 year tenure. In addition to the groups current line-up, including guitarist/producer Mario Monterosso, the album features contributions from past Panther Burns members and contemporaries like Jon Spencer, Reverend Horton Heat, and Kid Congo Powers. Inspired by the purview of artists whose vision and musicianship have matured, this work excavates the undercurrents of a psyche known for deconstruction of mythic themes of unrequited love, brother against brother, lost causes, and burning mansions. Desire On Ice is a momentary slice of immediate, askew balladry already hurled into the future.

Vinyl LP pressing. Originally issued as a 10-inch album in 1955, Goofing-Off Suite finds Pete Seeger playing a mix of classical, popular, and folk music. Side 1 of the recording includes five classical music themes adapted by Seeger for banjo. Side 2 is Seeger playing a more familiar repertoire of traditional folk music on banjo, guitar, and chalil (flute) (InchSally My DearInch). In the liner notes, Seeger urges musicians to swipe music from different genres to break down musical barriers and expand musical horizons. This vinyl reissue is part of Folkways Records' 70th anniversary celebration series, revisiting some of the most iconic and influential albums released on the record tag, continuing with Seeger, Dock Boggs and American Banjo. Remastered from original LP master tapes in 1955 and presented in classic Folkways style tip-on jackets featuring original liner notes.
