Q: Can this model be used in other countries, p.ex. south america?
A: This unit picks up K, Ka and X band frequencies, so if those are used in another country, it will work there. The unit functions in Mexico, Bahrain, and New Zealand for example.

A: Yes. You can turn off the other bands (x band, k band, and ka band) you can even turn off the laser function if you choose.
