On their second album InchVagabond SongsInch, the band from Switzerland surprises with their sophisticated arrangements and surprising twists, giving their sound more weight with harmony vocals. At the same time, drums and guitar create a unique density that is unusually high for a duo. Drums and guitar meet in the middle in a perfect way so there is no room for squiggles. There are melodies in pure , blues-punk meets grunge meets (hard) rock. The musical Two-Man-Army makes a point with their songs Music! In their home country they are already the official rock secret.

In Colorado based ensemble COmpass REsonance (CORE), Violinist Vadim Gluzman found a group that shared his artistic values, and they now have a close working relationship. Combining the music of J.S. Bach and Valentyn Silvestrov in one program offers another example of kindred spirits. The three works by Silvestrov presented on this album are influenced by and dedicated to Bach himself. More importantly, though separated by centuries, the music of Bach and Silvestrov is united by purity, spirituality, and clarity of expression. Together, they offer hope, solace, and a sense of balance in today's turbulent world.
