Vinyl LP pressing. Sorry I Haven't Called is the 2023 album from Vagabon, the moniker of Lætitia Tamko. The album, co-produced by Tamko and Rostam (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Clairo), finds Tamko reinventing herself once again and features the most playful and adventurous music of her career. InchI didn't feel like being introspective,Inch says Laetitia Tamko of her new album Sorry I Haven't Called. InchI just wanted to have fun.Inch Following her intimate 2017 debut Infinite Worlds, the New York artist favored expansive and evocative electronic textures in her breakthrough 2019 self-titled follow-up. But her latest LP feels like a wholly new era for Tamko, one that's transformational and uncompromising. Across 12 vibrant tracks she wrote and produced primarily in Germany, she channels dance music and effervescent pop through her own confident sensibilities. These conservational songs are alive and unselfconscious, a document of an artist fully embracing her vision and reclaiming her joy. Tamko's lyrics on Sorry I Haven't Called are uniformly playful and inviting. The first words she sings on the album are, InchCan I talk my S**t? / I got way too high for this.Inch It's a statement of purpose for the rest of the album that this is an unapologetic artist. Vinyl LP pressing. 2019 . Laetitia Tamko - AKA Vagabon - is a vocalist/musician based in New York and Los Angeles. Her debut album was released in February 2017 and received glowing accolades from NPR, Pitchfork, New York Times and more. Throughout 2017-18 she toured globally, performing with artists like Courtney Barnett and Julien Baker; making festival appearances at Pitchfork Music Festival, Primavera, and Noise Pop; and performing at Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Lincoln Center in New York and Junior High in Los Angeles. This album is her debut for Nonesuch Records. Tamko produced the album and played most of the instruments on 10 songs that display an extraordinary progression in the richness of her voice and a palette of sounds widened to include brass, strings and synth flourishes. It's a beautifully spectral result, floating in a space between Nina Simone, TV on the Radio, and early 4AD. The album was mixed by John Congleton (Sharon Van Etten, St. Vincent) and features guest appearances from Sasami, Jay Som, Julie Byrne and Meg Duffy (Hand Habits).

Initially available on CD only, this dueling 'Red Meets Black' colored vinyl edition is the proper treatment to celebrate a decade of an indie underground classic. It was around 2010 when Qwazaar, hailing from Chicago's celebrated rap supergroup, Typical Cats connected with the up & coming beatmaker, Batsauce - who was making noise in a rap group called The Smile Rays helmed by Paten Locke, and producing for icons such as George Clinton. The two auteurs met in Europe on tour and formed an instant chemistry, rapidly amassing a formidable catalog of music - a pair of mad scientists, working feverishly in Bat's Berlin abode. What culminated from those sessions was a collection of EPs (Style Be the King, Stress Chasers) and the capstone LP, Bat Meets Blaine - the prelude to their 2021 , Stoned Giant.
