Varde - Fedraminne - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2020 . After 17 years the Swedish black metal phenomenon Armagedda crawls back from the netherworlds. And so it was told that in the seventeenth year, things that were thought to be dead begun to stir again in the earth, as if awoken by the stench of man-fear penetrating deep beyond the reach of sunlight. Reanimated by some nameless and cursed source of vitality they say it has begun pouring and trickling from the dark crevices of the North, like an ancient curse into the veins of the world. And with the same fearful fascination that we behold something full of life being robbed of it's vitality and pulse, we shall now bear witness to that which ought to be forever dead but by unnatural impulse and eager invocation is again given life, to haunt and to stalk the night of the world. Album Tracks 1. Det Sjuttonde Året 2. Ond Spiritism 3. Likvaka 4. Djupens Djup 5. Guds Kadaver (En Falsk Messias) 6. Flod Av Smuts 7. Evigheten I en Obrutbar Cirkel

Varde, the eminent Norwegian craftsmen of folk-infused black metal, made their first mark on the world with the self-released EP InchAsgaardsreienInch. Now reissued via Nordvis, the EP's 23 minutes spread over two epic tracks show that Varde's sound was already developed in full on their debut . A wild and magniloquent journey through nocturnal landscapes and magniloquent storytelling, InchAsgaardsreienInch connects with Varde's native Norway both in it's folky somberness and black metal ferocity. With it's forceful riffs, icy melodies and archaic atmospheres it continues the legacy of the 90's and lays down a foundation of it's own; profound and austere, beckoning you to join the Wild Hunt Album Tracks 1. Asgaardsreien 2. Koll Med Bilen (Del II)

The Camerata Salzburg begins a collaboration with Channel Classics and, with it's leader Giovanni Guzzo, presents it's first recording entitled Muses. The album includes three neoclassical masterpieces for chamber orchestra by Igor Stravinsky. The Concerto in E-flat InchDumbarton OaksInch is a small concerto in the style of the Brandenburg Concertos. Apollon musagète pays homage to Apollo, and to the Muses of mime, poetry and dance, with beautiful, harmonically pure and melodically perfect music. The Concerto in D employs every conceivable kind of string sound and technique, creating a combination of pure melodic and rhythmic drive and wonderful cantabile passages. In these three works, Camerata Salzburg delves deeply into sound, a quest made possible by each musician's individual commitment to the ensemble, uniting the muses of chamber music, concert and orchestra.
