A music and dance movement inspired by 1960's era American soul records of the mostly obscure variety, the Northern Soul movement began independently in Northern England, The Midlands, Scotland and Wales by popular DJs discovering rare gems from the era. One of the most prominent DJs was Ian Levine, who spun records at the Highland Rooms at Blackpool Mecca - a large entertainment complex located on Central Drive in the seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire in the North West of England. Presented here is InchNorthern Soul 2007,Inch a compilation produced by Ian Levine in 2007 featuring new songs done in the Northern soul style, performed by a wide array of artists including some of the original soul vocalists that initially inspired the movement. All selections have been newly remastered.

Classic Thanksgiving Songs of Praise, It's Thanksgiving Day as I write this. The music on this CD is great for Thanksgiving, or any time of the year. InchPraise My Soul,Inch InchImmortal, Invisible,Inch and InchAve Verum CorpusInch are particularly well done. The Halifax Choral Society has a nice, clear sounds. My only criticism is the omissions; how could you not have InchWe Gather TogetherInch on a Thanksgiving CD?! InchNow Thank We All Our GodInch would have been apposite as well. On the other hand, there are very few CDs devoted exclusively to Thanksgiving, where Christmas CDs are a dime a dozen, so this is a must-own. In addition, fans of Holiday music, English hymns and Baroque concertos will enjoy it at any time of the year.
