Various Artists - Bluegrass Gospel Tribute To Josh Turner - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

A Tribute To The Judds - Various Artists / Following Naomi Judd's tragic passing last April, her daughter, Wynonna, confirmed she'd be putting together a special compilation album paying homage to the iconic songs of The Judds.

This compilation of religious music from the 1920s and 1930s American South brings together black and white performers to show the relationships and differences between the two styles. Both styles share more elements of text and music than their secular counterparts, even though different influences shape both.

There's nothing like a healthy does of bluegrass music, much like the 23 songs on this terrific compilation. With the Pike County Boys, Smiley Hobbs and a whole host of other talent, you'll hear some of the finest examples of a genre is timelessly enjoyable.
