Our album delves into the concept of absolute power, exploring the immense forces that dominate and control their realms. Each track reflects the overwhelming presence of a massive deity or an emotion, personified as an unstoppable force that reigns supreme. The lyrics serve as a narrative for these mighty entities, illustrating their influence and domination. Throughout the album, these deities or emotions are depicted in their full might, unchallenged and eternal. The themes center around the unstoppable nature of these powers, representing an unyielding reign that cannot be defied. Each song captures the essence of this relentless force, creating a vivid portrayal of supreme dominance. Musically, the album mirrors this concept of power through a blend of melodic and aggressive elements. The music intensifies the lyrical themes, with soaring symphonies and driving melodies that enhance the sense of grandeur and strength. Roberto Arnoldi, a talented young violinist from Bergamo, on this album plays a mix of pieces for solo violin by contemporary composers, some of which are specifically dedicated to him. By discovering these new works by Davide Anzaghi, Fabio Vacchi, Rossella Spinosa, Giuseppe Garbarino and Natale Arnoldi (Roberto's father), the Arnoldi stretches his own abilities as well as the listener's experiences. InchSide by side with my study of the great classical masterpieces for solo violin, I have always been eager to deal with contemporary compositions, stimulated as I was by the persuasion that the new techniques required for the correct interpretation of present-day pieces are an important occasion for maturing and also very useful for Inchgoing backInch to confront pieces from the past.Inch (Arnoldi)

Louis Kaufman was born on May 10, 1905 in Portland, Oregon. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Romania who were very interested in the arts and took their son to concerts. Kaufman gave his solo debut in the New York Town Hall in 1928 under the auspices of the International Naumburg Competition, which he proceeded to win. He then went on to play with such acclaimed musicians as Pablo Casals (cello), Mischa Elmann (violin), Jascha Heifetz (violin), Gregor Piatigorsky (cello) and Alfredo Rossi (piano). He also played classical music in ensembles, such as the Musical Art Quartet, the Kaufman Quartet, the Westwood String Quartet, the Bach Chamber Symphony Group. In 1932 Kaufman married the pianist Annette Leibole and performed frequently with her in public. In 1956 Louis Kaufman and his wife returned to Los Angeles. The violinist continued to give wonderful concerts until the late 1970s. After an eye operation he decided to retire from active performance. Louis Kaufman died on February 9, 1994. He was probably the violinist who had recorded the most works in the twentieth century. In addition to building up this huge body of recordings he was also the inventor of the Kaufman chinrest for the violin. The recordings featured on this historic CD album are predominantly from the 1940s and 50s.
