About this product
Ten years of Revue Blanche. That's ten years of making music together. At the occasion of this anniversary, the ensemble is going back to their roots to vibrant turn-of-the-century Paris, where a luscious body of music emerged that has occupied a central place in Revue Blanche's repertoire since the very start. Misia Sert became our guide. Walking in her tracks, Revue Blanche paid a call on Villa Servais in Halle - where she spent her childhood - and played a Polish song by her grave in Samoureau, near Valvins. While they encountered many iconic masters enchanted by her, she also put them on the track of lesser-known composers. With every step and every gem their curiosity grew, Misia seducing them to go beyond what they'd initially imagined. The present recording is Revue Blanche's homage to this fiery, unbridled spirit who - by devoting her life to the arts - perennially inspires others to do so as well. The ensemble found working on this album a challenge as well as a saving grace in a year without concerts. The involuntary break from the stage allowed them to focus on the recording process, where they applied ourselves to making Misia a perfect tribute. Now it's finally here, our hope is that the soundsketch of this grande dame, who truly mastered the art of bringing people together, will help answering to the profound need for beauty and connection felt by many.

Electrocosmia is a daring exploration of electroacoustic music for solo piano that finds pianist Peng-Chian Chen diving head first into musical worlds that are at times explosive and at others mercurial and enigmatic. Much of this album finds Chen striking a balance between acoustic and electronic sound. Whether that be using an electronic keyboard and an acoustic piano simultaneously, interweaving fixed media and live performance, or using signal processing to experiment with sound being created in the moment. Featuring works by Cindy Cox, Pierre Chavet, Elanie Lillios, and Peter Van Zandt Lane, Electrocosmia brings new energy to keyboard music being written and performed today. Each piece contributes to a growing landscape of electroacoustic concert works that defy listeners expectations and expand what concert music can mean. Album Tracks 1. Neuf Études Aux Deux Mondes for Piano and Computer (Nine Studies in the Two Worlds) 2. Etude InchLa CigüeñaInch (For Piano and Keyboard Sampler) 3. Nostalgic Visions (For Piano and Live Interactive Electroacoustics) 4. Studies in Momentum (For Piano and Live Electronics)

This entertaining album features music of our time arranged for and performed by brass. The Brass Band Blechlkang, which consists of around 35 musicians, is made up of brass instruments and large classical percussion. With the exception of the percussion and the trombones, only instruments from the Saxhorn family are used. It is played on cornets, alto horns, baritones, euphonies, trombones and tubas. The structural similarity of the instruments used results in a particularly soft mixed sound. In combination with the ensemble-specific dominance of the bass register (up to five tubes), the typical, unmistakable sound of a brass band comes into play, which is compared over and over again with a Inchsoulful organInch. Album Tracks 1. Legend in Brass 2. Oregon 3. STÅL Himmel 4. A Nordic Trilogy 5. The Crazy Brass Machines 6. African Odyssey 7. The Floral Dance 8. Windows of the World 9. The Lion King
