The official cast recording of the hit musical 'Sunny Afternoon', originally released in 2014 and recipient of four Olivier Awards including Best New Musical and Best Actor In A Musical, is a vibrant collection of The Kinks' most iconic songs. The album features the original London cast, including John Dagleish as Ray Davies, George Maguire as Dave Davies, Ned Derrington as Pete Quaife, and Adam Sopp as Mick Avory. Uniquely, the cast members both sing and play their own instruments on the recording, a decision that aimed to capture the vitality and innocence of a young band. Produced by The Kinks' own Ray Davies at his legendary Konk Studios, the album contains 29 classic tracks, including beloved hits like 'You Really Got Me', 'Waterloo Sunset', 'Lola', and the title track, 'Sunny Afternoon'. The recording was celebrated for it's authentic sound, which eschewed the Polish of typical cast albums in favour of a raw, energetic feel reminiscent of The Kinks' early records. Album Tracks 1. You Still Want Me 2. I Gotta Move/You Really Got Me 3. Just Can't Go to Sleep 4. Denmark Street 5. A Well Respected Man 6. Dead End Street 7. Dedicated Follower of Fashion 8. You Really Got Me 9.
