Mozart / Lso Wind Ensemble - Mozart Serenade No. 10 for Winds ''Gran Partit'' [SUPER-AUDIO CD] Hybrid SACD date 05/05/2017

Catchy melodies, individual interpretation, and flashy technique epitomize InchnoveltyInch ragtime, a style of ragtime that emerged after World War I. This recording features Inchthe effervescence of authentic ragtimeInch through virtuosic performances by composer-pianists, and includes a rare solo by Clarence Jones, one of the few black musicians to record novelty rags.

This collection features country ragtime from 1917 to 1935-a genre that mixes the syncopation of African-American rhythms with the melodic structure of European dance music. As these recordings demonstrate, musicians created different mixtures of these elements some rags sound more like the blues, while others are closer to European quadrilles.
