We didn't know it then, but in the early '60s we were seeing rock music come of age in San Francisco. We were seeing the beginning of the rock revolution that was to sweep the airwaves; a change in the way in which radio was programmed, and the birth of scores of bands that would go on to have a huge impact on the musical style and landscape of popular music for many years to come. Originally released in 1968, this Vault Records anthology collects these mid-60s gems from San Francisco's very own Autumn Records. Featuring breakout tracks 'Somebody to Love' and 'Free Advice' from 'The Great Society' and many more, this album is the perfect place to be for anyone wanting to experience that electric San Francisco scene first hand.
