About this product

Songs Without Words is the first purely instrumental recording in the history of Camerata Trajectina. Poetry in the 16th and 17th centuries was usually set to popular melodies. Camerata Trajectina has had years of expertise in researching the source melodies underlying these texts. The most beautiful melodies of the Dutch Golden Age were omnipresent. They rang out on the carillon and sounded on the organ in church, they were whistled and blown by city pipers and flutists, and they were whirled and capered to at weddings and balls. Camerata Trajectina play classics of the 17th century in our own arrangements and improvisations, recycling famous melodies, madrigals, songs and harmonies.

Various Artists - Better Without Words - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Tosca and Tannhauser, lieder by Schumann and Schubert - interpreted by a tubist and a harpist? Without any singing at all? Exactly! Fabbriciani Faralli - Opere Per Flauto E Percussioni - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In the month of the ninetieth birthday of one of the most singular and emblematic composers on the international contemporary scene, this record production comes as a tribute to the figure of Sylvano Bussotti, thanks to Jonathan Faralli on percussion and Roberto Fabbriciani on flute, an equally emblematic performer and constant point of reference in the musical production of our century, as well as a great friend and close collaborator of Bussotti himself. A must for lovers of the genre, in which the masterful work of the two performers stages Bussotti's famous and theatrical scores, full of dramaturgy, poetry and scenographic both for the eyes and for the ears.
