About this product
Since launching in 2019, NuNorthern Soul's 'Summer Selections' series has become something of a must-check for those seeking the sun-soaked pulse of the White Isle of Ibiza. It not only acts as a sampler for forthcoming digital-only EPs due for over the summer season, but also a showcase for both established artists and tag newcomers.2025's 'selections', the fifth in total, marks the popular series' return after a three-year hiatus. Once again, it boasts six tracks, each taken from a forthcoming NuNorthern Soul EP, and touches on a variety of Ibiza-ready styles and sounds.Up first are Manchester twosome Nightdubbing, who's eponymous 'Nightdubbing' - first featured on their self-released 2023 debut album - is remixed by Archeo Recordings tag boss Manu Archeo. He opts to brilliant blend slow motion electronic grooves and deep, warming bass with waves of ambient textures, eyes-closed melodic motifs and attractive lead lines.George Koutalieries steps up next with the languid shuffle of 'Seasons', where imaginative vocalization arrangements, mazy synth bass, calming acoustic guitars and cosmic electronics create a yearning afternoon delight, before tag newcomer James E Burton combines pleasingly live-sounding drums and bass with picturesque electronics and the dreamiest of chords.Next up is a teaser of what's to come from recent signings Visions of Light, a fresh collaboration between Free Booter Lounge tag founder Simon Sheldon and two of his artists, Muzka and Dan Dub Lounge. 'The Mandela Vortex' is a lightly dub-flecked Balearic shuffler rich in infectious hand percussion, meandering guitar solos, heady aural textures and echoing melodic motifs. To draw the expansive collection to a close, we're treated to two more yearning, picturesque and atmospheric treats. The first comes from another tag debutant, Seafront International and Strictly Dub Records founder Saimon un

![Various Artists - House of EFUNK Vol. 5 (Various Artists) - 12-INCH SINGLE [12 inch Vinyl Single]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/6f91aac1-2ba2-4d12-8103-81ec7423770c.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
EFUNK Volume V is the fifth installation of the annual VA compilation featuring music from a curated collection of artists set to perform at Soul Clap's House of EFUNK touring party series. This date is right on time for the official Movement Festival afterparty @ TV Lounge in Detroit that spans 2 days with 3 areas of sound. This year's compilation features music from Soul Clap alongside long time friend and Baltimore favorite Baronhawk Poitier, who present InchSet The SceneInch, a futuristic earthshaking groove with Baronhawk's spoken vocals backed by Charles Levine's vocoder and a Moog topline played by Baronhawk that won't quit. Hercules & Love Affair makes a debut on the tag with InchStay ReadyInch a chugging tracky / acid infused banger which should absolutely induce a dancefloor sweat. Kai Alce shares a discofied sample-licious crowd pleaser called InchBoogieInch with the help of additional keys by Byron Blaylock (better known as Byron The Aquarius). Detroit's new school starchild JMT joins with the hard hitting peak time soul powered InchBlack Magic TouchInch. And last, but certainly not least, Lauren Flax adds an edge of danger while calling for InchRevolutionInch featuring vocals from Liz Wight. These tracks are sounding warm and round thanks to the mastering expertise of Caserta and have been dancefloor approved by Soul Clap!
While Miami Beach is well known as a vacation spot, it's signature mix of house, Chill-out and lounge music is also becoming a landmark. The SFP group of labels became the Global night clubber's soundtrack as DJs all over the four continents like Danny Rampling, Carl Cox, and/or Pete Tong, spun and compiled many tracks released by SFP's labels on more than a thousand different compilations. This single, featuring 4 mixes produced by Simon Soul and Patrick Levy, is from the SFP offshoot Deep Touch Black. All original 12Inch mixes.
