Various Artists - Super Soul Blues 2 (Various Artists) - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Blind Melon is the eponymous debut album by the rock band Blind Melon, released on September 22, 1992 through Capitol Records. InchNo RainInch became Blind Melon's breakthrough single. Blind Melon's production is marked by the use of outdated amplifiers and other antiquated studio technology. Modern studio effects were not used in it's production as the band wanted to create a pure and InchintimateInch sounding record. Hoon stated, InchWe all kind of liked the production that was on a lot of early Stones records, [where] whatever it is you're playing is what it's going to sound like.Inch On the album, Rogers Stevens' guitar playing is predominantly heard in the right channel, while Chris Thorn's is in the left.

15 track compilation featuring John Lee Hooker, Tina Turner, Memphis Slim, Little Johnny Taylor and more.

This second volume continues Folkways' The Country Blues (FW00RF1) and is the result of efforts in the early 1960s to find singers who were previously known only as names on commercial recordings. Volume Two includes works by these lesser-known singers, as well as a pseudonymous recording by Blind Willie McTell, who recorded as InchGeorgia Bill.Inch
