About this product
Rockabilly from the vaults of Sun Records! - Back in 1992, we decided that Rockabilly sounded good on CD, so we had the idea that we should create the all-time definitive Rockabilly series, 'That'll Flat Git It!' Above all, Rockabilly was music recorded for 45RPM singles, so we designed a Rockabilly series tag-by-tag instead of artist-by-artist, and we compiled it for listening pleasure. Just the great stuff, plus a few super rarities. Every CD would be for the most part a 30 song jukebox of the finest Rockabilly ever recorded for all the great labels. We sourced the very best sounding tapes and took them to the best mastering engineers, and then we took the packaging to a new level. We adopted the catchphrase of the first Rockabilly dee-jay, Dewey Phillips, 'That'll Flat Git It!', and we hired Bill Millar, who'd compiled the still-classic tag-oriented Rockabilly LPs in the 1970s and 1980s, to write the notes. We looked for previously unpublished photos, and tried to find all the artists who'd never been found before. The result is a truly definitive Rockabilly series that now runs to twenty-seven volumes

Alessio Bax dedicates an album to his daughter Mila, compiling works from his past Signum albums - including performances with Lucille Chung and Southbank Sinfonia - as well as a new recording of the Nocturne from Grieg's Lyric Pieces. Alessio begins the album with a touching dedication InchThis album is not only a carefully curated playlist of soothing classics to calm a baby and perhaps make him or her fall asleep quicker. It is also a gift from parents to their children, with the hope that they will share music with their loved ones, not just to entertain them but also to enrich their lives. It is a gift from me to other parents, so that at the end of what might have been a challenging and difficult day, they might put their feet up and enjoy a seamless stream of great music spanning three centuries. And it is a little gift from me to my daughter that I hope will enable me, one day, to say thank you for everything she has done and will continue to do to for us and for this world.Inch

This volume in the epic InchThat'll Flat Git ItInch series is one that all collectors will want. Although the series runs to twenty volumes, this is Volume 13 because it has taken on and off the schedule while we awaited approvals and tried to find the best quality tapes or discs to transfer. Anyway, the wait has been worth it. As before the CD is compiled expertly by Bill Millar and includes a generous 30 tracks. And as before the CD includes an untoppable mix of established classics (like Joe Bennett & the Sparkletones' Black Slacks, Clint Miller's Bertha Lou, Ronnie Self's Pretty Bad Blues, George Hamilton's Everybody's Body, and Jack Scott's Baby, She's Gone) with rarities and underground classics, like Joey Du'Ambra's Come Back a Little Mama, both sides of Jay B. Loyd's ultra-rare ABC single, both sides of Jackie Lee Cochran's even rarer ABC single, Ronnie Toth's Miss Lazy, and many more.
