Producer Andy Zax says he, sound producer Brian Kehew and mastering engineer Dave Schultz avoided interfering with the tapes as much as possible in order to preserve their authenticity. InchIt's not surprising that other producers' first reaction to these tapes over the years has been 'uh-oh,' immediately followed by 'we've gotta find a way to fix this.' I'm not unsympathetic to that approach, but if there's a single overriding lesson that Brian Kehew and I have learned since we began working with the Woodstock tapes in 2005, it's this you can't fix them... That's less grim than it seems, because once you've accepted the idea that there is no way to make these recordings sound slick, you realize that these tapes are the sonic equivalent of heirloom tomatoes - slightly imperfect, but delicious.Inch Album Tracks DISC 1 1. Gatefold black vinyl reissue of the 2016 album from the Canadian chanteuse. Late August 2016, a few months after her beloved husband and manager passed away, Céline is back with a new album, Encore un soir. Céline and René's vision of a new collaboration with legendary artist Jean-Jacques Goldman came to fruition with this tailor-made title-track InchEncore un soirInch, marking a long-awaited reunion, 12 years in the making! Other renowned collaborators joined Céline in the making of this new opus. For the first time, the legendary Francis Cabrel and Serge Lama co-wrote a song for her. Jacques Veneruso, her most trusted ally in recent years, has written and composed a new song as well. Grand Corps Malade has once again offered his poetry to this new album. New partners have also been added to the family. Zaho, who has proven that she knows how to write crossover hits, contributes to the new album. Florent Mothe et Mutine add their names to this new story with four pop-flavoured songs. As Quebec is always close to Céline's heart, she wanted to pay tribute to it's rich musical repertoire by reinterpreting the classic Robert Charlebois song InchOrdinaireInch. Purple Rain is the sixth studio album by Prince, the first to feature his backing band The Revolution, and is the soundtrack album to the 1984 film of the same name. Purple Rain is regularly ranked among the best albums in music history, and is widely regarded as Prince's magnum opus. Time magazine ranked it the 15th greatest album of all time in 1993, and it placed 18th on VH1's Greatest Rock and Roll Albums of All Time countdown. Rolling Stone ranked it the second-best album of the 1980s and 76th on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
