About this product
Maurizio Guernieri's compositions are a part of an ongoing exploration of instrumental chamber music, in this case focused chiefly on string instruments. The pieces can be divided into two main groups. The first one is Elementa (InchelementsInch in Latin), meditations on the relationship between man and nature, and on the elements of nature, which, being often mismanaged by man, contribute to their own flourishing or decadence. Nature, which has always been called InchmotherInch, turns out to be an Inchevil stepmotherInch when she returns to man what he has given her in an extreme attempt to re-establish a balance that has been lost. The second group consists of other pieces that are meditations on man and his inner life. As in the previous CD, Bicinium (TC 940091), the pieces can be listened to in a single musical succession, as if the disc were, to use a term of the past, a Inchconcept album.Inch

The indisputable master of Baroque music, Johann Sebastian Bach's reputation is greater now than ever. Now his entire organ works are to be made available on DVD for the first time through the of the highly-acclaimed BBC2 television series.
Brasilintime is a filmic map that connects the world of Rio de Janeiro of the late teens to the South Bronx of the early 70s. The roads from Samba through Bossa Nova to Hip Hop are a complex web of musical whispers and echoes. Brasilintime is a 2-hour documentary that traverses this journey. In November of 2002, drummers and DJs traveled to Sao Paulo Brazil to expand the multi-generational conversation to include their counterparts from the world of Samba, Bossa Nova and Samba Rock, as well as the best new talent from Brazilian Hip Hop. This show was recorded and became the basis for this DVD. Brasilintime speaks the language of the music it addresses. Back in 2002 Brazil seemed a distant land with an exotic music that wasnÕt entirely familiar to most of the hiphop generation. But through the work of Madlib, JRocc, Cut Chemist, Babu and their drumming partners this film began a dialogue with Brazilian culture that continues until today.
