A: The VX2716 needs a power cable to plug into the monitor separate from the HDMI cable.

Q: Can this monitor be used both horizontal and vertical?
A: The stand of the monitor only support landscape view. To use in portrait mode, a universal VESA stand or desk mount would be required. The orientation of the display would need to be rotated from the display settings of the output device.
A: This monitor does have a VESA 100mm x 100mm interface. This allows you to connect to any VESA mount using those dimensions. There are many wall mounts that support this VESA interface. As such, you can utilize a wall mount with this display by connecting via the VESA mounting option.
