A: I just dealt with this exact same issue. I believe the answer is yes. What worried me is that I measured the height of the box at 12 3/4” when the specs of the new one says 13 3/8”. Turns out that this includes the feet of the unit. I believe this will slide right in to the existing trim kit which has detents for the feet. You should not even have to remove the trim kit. Plug and play. At the end of the day, I wound up fixing my unit so I did not need to replace it, but I would have ordered with confidence.

A: NO......ALL Viking microwave models are made outside of the U.S even if you see the dispay in the store says made in USA. They are mostly made in Thailand. When you get your microwave after the model number there will be a 2 letter alphabet which denotes the country its built in.
